Rico's build thread.

oh I was sorta wanting to do the relocation of the coils etc? doing so would it not allow me to run the nology ones or no? always wondered about this
the crappy nology wires use the oem coils and their bracket and wires, the 1.8L coils and wires are different.

really wanting a boosted p5. thinking of going with an oem msp kit for now.

From personal experience since i owned two set already and there are gains to be had from the wires and im speaking on the msp set since the n/a one still just relocate the wires on the valve cover but the msp nology wires move the coils to the back by the cruise control location which allows the coil pack stay really cool compared to sitting on the top of the head i can go for a ride and touch them without burning my hand is there a horsepower gain probably not the main thing kit does is allow the packs to stay cool which allows them to be able perform at full capacity... the wires have individual grounding wires to help keep the magnetic charge that the plugs build to stay in the cylinder without disrupting the others plug's spark this technique was used on older corvettes i learned this for my engine and performance teacher..... things i noticed in hot conditions i never have fuel cut since heat helps build magnetic fields in the plugs which helps cause random misfire also affect power output of the coil packs since heat weakens them.... less fuel cut in really cold conditions.... my car all around runs smoother all day basically if u dont care for you car to be consistent then don't buy them

ill spend a money for a more consistent car any day then a car that performs well one day and the next day car is issues... like the ssafc is crap at the end cars tuned on ssafc will still have performance issues if your looking for horsepower gains the nology wires aren't for you

not really looking for hp just have a few cells and think maybe my stock coils are going bad so when I look into replacing a part I like to compare a oem replacement to anything aftermarket thats out there and see which is best to spend the money on

If u want go consistent performance I recommend the nologys for the msp not the n/a ones with Mazda coil packs

is it worth getting the spal fans or whatever they are call and replacing the big old stock ones?

looking for fog light delete kit one that works with msp lip.

also keep getting a clunk noise in the front driver side. checked axel and nothing wrong or for anything loose and still didnt find anything. its driving me nuts lol

Rico, I'm still getting the "intake manifold runner control circuit low". My buddy is the manager of a Mitas and has a system where you can enter a CEL code and it shows fixes other shops have listed for the problem. I have the message from him somewhere, but it's some variable tumble sensor. Something neither of us have ever heard of

um thats weird. i need to fix all these codes. that engine light is really getting to me

pretty sure it is. willing to swap anything that it might be until its fixed. find it so I can get it lol
