The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

So after talking with a couple of th guys on the NWORSCCA forum I've come to the conclusion that I might just race in SM instead of SMF. Not as many people race in SMF and is usually random. Only 1 person raced in 4 events, where as the Fisher's and a couple others show up frequently. The MSP qualifies for both SM and SMF, but I think the competition will help push me to be better than not compiting against anyone else and having a goal. Looking at the times I had last year I was consistantly 2-2.5 seconds behind the guys that run in SM for every event. There is a couple that have a 06 Evo, an 02 Lexus IS300, and a 01 Cobra. They all, with the exception of the Cobra use Rcomps and I used street Falken's. I think it would push me to be a better/faster driver to actually have competition rather than staying in SMF and hoping someone shows up to run against. It's no fun to run against yourself and you don't push yourself or have that edge like you do when someone else is breathing down your neck in times or vice versa. At the same time I don't want to leave Adam to run by himself in SMF, but his times are 3-4 seconds behind mine. I wanna play with the EVO :) Whatcha think?

Do it for the competition, sure. If I remember correctly, SMF was created because a lot of FWD guys were bitching about getting their asses handed to them by AWD and RWD cars. Do it up, just don't come back bitching because your platform doesn't compete with platforms that are much superior.

I really wasn't that far behind for having way less hp and street tires. This year I think will be a whole new ball game with the Rcomps, rear sway bar is beefed up, and the car pulls alot more than last year with all the parts I just put on. It would eb nice to have a tune, but she runs pretty good the way she is. I won't b****, I'm not like that. It is what it is and only I can change the outcomes of my times. The car doesn't run itself and my driver mod can only get better. Now I just need to save for a SSAFC w/ tune and some body work/paint and I'll be happy. I would like to get some stiffer springs, but I might just wait and get coilovers next year.

Haha...don't you hate that?!

A Trailblazer friend of mine is getting transferred from Akron to Parma, so he's looking to get a DD. He'd like something turbo/5sp, but I don't know what his budget is. How cheap do MSP's get? And are they worth it if they're that "cheap"?

This is a common price for one. Looks none like it stock with little or no mods and pretty clean.

anyone on here have any need for an 01 protege? corey? i know you were looking for a daily. i dont really want my car anymore.

everythings fine, its just one thing after another mod related. and i want a car that i can start over with, and a car that i dont have to worry about. ill sell it for 2100 on here with no supercharger or coilovers and i will return it to NA and msp suspension. theres a few goodies i will also keep off of it but i know that before i put the supercharger on, and before i put on the coilovers, it was a good reliable car. ive never had a motor issue that was really a problem, or anything fail. egr is bad,but i have a back up from corey and i have no pre cat, and there is a check engine light for an intake manifold turning circuit. idk what that is. . if anyone wants it we can negotiate about the supercharger or the coilovers.

lol naaa. i want something prefirably rwd, or maybe awd. im looking at fc rx7, mr2, mkIII supra, 240 sx, 323 gtx, etc.

2100 from sale, hopefuully like 700 for the full supercharger set up, and maybe like 400 for the coilovers brings me to about 3200 bucks which is plenty to get any of the things i listed there. i found some for sale already.

what coilovers do you have and how many miles? i'm sure you could $100 more depending on the answers. probably more for the car too

they are the ksport RR original coilovers (v1) that blew, but are stiff as all ****.

and the car probably can go for plenty more. if de modded, itd be a great car for a teen who wants a cool looking car.

as much as i want something else, i just dont know if i could bring myself to sell it. there have been too many nights spent working on the car instead of sleeping, too many memories with it. i know its just a car, but im sentimental. i would love to sell it to someone on here because i know it would get taken care of.

$400 for blown K-sports... I think you may be slightly over-estimating. Either that or you know some real suckers.

i dont think thats unreasonable at all.

i thuoght a little bit and i think im gonna try and push through with the car, unless i get a good offer for something i really want.
