What have you done to your Mazda5 today?

60,000 mile oil change and tire rotation

Treated our 2010 Sport 5MT to a 60,000 mile oil change (its 8th) and tire rotation today.

Finally installed a fumoto valve, and also some very nice high-output CREE LED backup lights, a nice upgrade.

It occurred to me to check the brake pads...I usually consume a set by now. Looking closely, I found this:

about 1/4 inch of lining left on the fronts...after 59000+ miles! I was pretty impressed (rears were similar), there's definitely something to the "highway miles" thing. We've had our 5 since February 2010...I commute 75 miles roundtrip, so it adds up!

Sooo... finished up on the 5 last night:

BC Racing Coilovers all set to 25.75" from ground to fender all 4 corners, stiffness set 6/32 front 8/32 rear (1 = stiffest)
Top Speed adjustable rear camber arms installed
Mazdaspeed 3 rear 26mm sway bar modified and installed
Slight rear weight reduction by cutoff wheel to facilitate rear camber arm install :D

Took a few hundred pictures all the way through- doing the writeup right now. Gonna take a while. :(

2009 - tinted 20%

Bought my 2009 this past December, and I am really enjoying it.
Now that we are getting some earlier than usual spring weather, I decided to go and finally get the windows tinted.
Next up - do something with the stereo.

Changed the engine air filter (really dumb how it is under stuff, easy to remove though)
New rear wiper blade
Purchased cabin air filter... new to replace yet

Thanks! >1WICKED6
>qcoffey They're designed for the 5, I got they're test fit pair. They ride pretty nice considering how low it is. I'm debating whether or not I'm going to bag it...

Switched back to summer wheels and tires. That was early, but 80F on winter tires is just going to hurt them.

Still need to replace the cabin air filter... and burnt out fog light.

Did order me some 35w HIDs though... but they are still in China. DDM tuning has them on sale for $30 again. (with $16 shipping of coarse)

Cabin air filter changed. Thank goodness for YouTube. Compared to my wife's 2011 Kia Sportage which is so ridiculously easy, changing those filters in the 5 should be deemed cruel and unusual punishment.

Started spring cleaning on Susan and put her summer shoes on. I somehow ended up with 3 sets of wheels, all with bad tires so I had to swap them all around and get new tires on the summer wheels. Plus I discovered all my car cleaning stuff froze over this winter so I have to go buy all new cleaning stuff.

Cool

Nic, I have a 2010 MZ5 and I tinted my rears with van tint like yours maybe just a little darker. I think it's 80/20 and it looks excellent on most days. Congrats. I like your tint. I don't really care for limo dark because it restricts my view. So this is perfect. Plus the original windows already have about 5-10 percent so I think it's very nice.

Thanks! I considered darker tint - but didn't think I needed, and too, was concerned about limited visibility.
I really love the tint on the white pearl 5's! Silver is the second best color (which is what I have)....

I went with 5% on tint on mine. I love how it looks especially with the black wheels and dark gray, but you are correct, the outward visibility sucks at night. I have to roll down the windows to parallel park. :(
