02 Protege Dx Front Bumper Replacement???

So... I hate the looks of the DX front bumper on my 02Pro... Any ideas on what I can replace it with/where I can find one? Oh yea, I don't want any of that stupid' body kit' stuff either... Could I throw on a bumper from a same year pro5? Would that work? I don't know much about these proteges yet, I just got mine really... but yea I REALLY like the style of that bumper, and the sexy fogs that are built in... ANY thoughts/tips/suggestions would be great! Thanks (stash)

I want to say the front bumper from a P5/MSP will bolt right up, but I'm not positive. I've got a P5 so I never really looked into it. Actually, I like the front end of yours more than the standard P5. Much more cleaner. Ask the guys in the Protege section and they can help you out. If all else fails, bring it over to my house sometime and we can swap for a test fit. heh-heh

Yeah, they bolt right up. Here are the parts you're going to need for the whole swap...

Front bumper (obviously)
Front grille
Front fenders
Front inner fender liners

There are a few write ups on here about that conversion. If I have a few minutes, I'll try to pull up a thread.

Adam or "AJ" is rockin out a P5 front bumper on his ES. I don't think the Wings West bumper is bad either.

lol, i thought the fenders for the NB1/NB2 were the same too! those only need lights and bumper.

I was wondering about the fenders as well, but to have a true MSP front end swap you would need the fenders with the sidemarkers. I'm trying to help you out Phen.

Damn, now I'm trying to remember where the hell I read that the fenders need to be replaced. I always thought it was odd when I read it since the headlights are interchangeable. I know that you definitely need the inner fender liners because the fastener holes don't line up at all.
