mazda touring vs sport weight?

Hi, I am planning to buy a mazda2 in the next few weeks. Does anyone know if there is a weight difference between the touring and sport? Mazda lists the weight as the same but from the specs I am guessing the sport is ~30lb lighter.

Also, for someone who doesn't care about cruise control or a trip computer is there anything else significant in the touring? It looks like the other differences are seat piping, 2 speakers, heavier alloy wheels, and marginally more drag from the spoiler. Am I missing something more substantial? Are the seats actually more comfortable in the touring?

Fog lights (don't really do much TBH) and a few other small creature comforts are really the only thing that separates the two (see what I did there?). I went with the "touring" for the steering wheel controls, super convienient. Of course, up here our "touring" also gets sideskirts.

i think the touring here get the sideskirts as well...i bought a sport but coulda swore they had skirts on one of the tourings, either way i know you can buy the side skirts for $300 buck from mazda dealership. , i was thinking of getting the touring but i have an speed3 and rx7 , plus this is just my get around car.

i believe the seats are little more padded in the touring , cant remember... but weightwise there isnt much difference imo

Not sure what the weight diff is between the steelies and alloys, but rotational mass would have a greater effect than the 2lbs of fogs lights. Either way the Touring could be 100lbs heavier and i'd still rather have that look.

Seems like you already have the differences aligned in favor of Sport :)

No, there's nothing significant. The leather-wrapped steering wheel, that's all. I don't think seats are any different, except for red piping.

I personally care very much for cruise control (and a little bit for trip computer too), so I chose Touring. Wheels can be replaced. The cruise and trip computer, on the other hand -- the dash space in M2 is really tiny. If I decided to put in some aftermarket CC -- it'd be a bit difficult to find a good place for it. IMHO. I'm still thinking how to place my Garmin GPS so the wires don't get in the way.
