The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

What are the main differences when replaceing thestock intake manifold with the 626 intake manifold or is it almost a direct replacment? I'm debating on whether or not to put the intake manifold, FMIC and rad all on this weekend or wait. Seems like too mch work for just one or 2 days, but I need to do it all at once because they all connect with one another.

It doesn't have the VTCS or VICS butterflies

Did it once before.

Levi, get the picture!

you mean these?

I'd be down for that too but that would be one helluva expensive cheeseburger. lol

I didn't realize the 626 intake mani was made by mitsubishi? Unless Nate sent me the wrong part lol.

Corey, don't forget to get an IM gasket and tighten the IM bolts down really well or you'll get a vacuum leak. I remember the VTCS and VCIS solenoids on my FS IM had Mitsubishi stars on them too. The 626 mani is a better flowing upgrade since it doesn't have the butterflies.

Levi, that pic is still epic. I miss my rusty P5... :(

well after you get your new p5/p6 we will have to go do another shoot... id love to go there with a few mazdas again and get pics

but this time rotate the cars in the front so that crazy red headed slut lindsey doesnt get all the glory hahah

Haha! Truth. That crazy b****. Maybe after the ECU comes back she'll be sedated and behave better?

I'm always down for a Swensons Mazda meet. :)

She's about as sedated as she's going to get right now. I had to make sure her heart was still beating last time I was over there.

I've never had Swenson's but a guy I work with says it's awesome. I'm kind of partial to Skyway though.

Stopped by MotoMotion today to check pricing on tires/mounting & balancing before I ordered my Continentals. Turns out, they are moving to a new location out in Bedford. Right on the Bedford AutoMile. That is awesome news for them, but sucks for me because they were 5 minutes from my house and now they cannot mount my tires until they get settled in their new location sometime in April... I don't trust anyone else since that one shop ruined one of my summer tires for last year. So I have to ask:

Where can I safely get a 40 series tire mounted and balanced correctly without any damage to the TPMS? I might try WhiteWheel...

I'm about 30-45 minutes away so I'm not sure that my recommendations will help!

Chippy, Leipold by us did a terrific job on my wheels. It was $25 a wheel and $6 for each TPMS sensor rebuild kit. Pretty sure it was just a seal but I didn't care so I went for it. I think it was about 130 or so out the door. Pretty expensive but there isn't a scratch, nick, or anything on my wheels.

See, now last time I asked Leipolds to mount some tires for me they said they don't do low profile tires (I had 40 sidewalls as well). But I'm a ricer so they probably just didn't want my business. But still, too far away from you. Conrads in Akron does everything I need (mounting tires/alignments) and are super cool. But alas, still too far from you.

Bill goes to Conrads on the west side (North Ridgeville?), they're not cheap but they have taken good care of the wheels and slicks (they're not 40 though)
