What have you done to your MSP today?

idk, i would guestimate around 250whp thats tuned on meth at 14psi stock turbo, been running that for a while. thats just butt dyno and based off of cars i can hang with or beat...

I rolled 120k miles today and swapped out the Clutch slave cylinder which surprisingly was very easy and took about 20 mins. It didn't need to be replaced yet but I think it was making noise and I figured $40 for peace of mind is worth it before it leaves me stranded somewhere. Also am going to the track Friday so didn't want to have it fail before or during that.

Also cleaned the inside and aired up the tires, getting new BFG G-Force Sport 215/45/ZR17s installed tomorrow.

Is it a 1.8L? If so, that probably makes a difference.

3SGTE w/gt28rs on 18psi. Fast ******* car. Bolt-ons, built motor. Just takes forever to spool. Also, I said Mr. Two. Not to be confused with the girls version they came out with later, and appropriately named, the Mrs, lol.

For reference I get full boost by 3k rpm, so that's what I am judging his by. If it don't fully spool by 3k, not worth my time.

Ugh, unless you have every bolt-on, I'm gonna say no to the 250whp. Put it on a dyno if you want numbers, otherwise your just bench racing.

but your turbo is a tiny lil snail that takes nothing to spool. n i doubt your running higher then 10psi. psi changes your spool so does the way ur setup is done.

I run 14psi, and probably have been since before you owned your Protege.

take your UGH and shove it. thats why used the word "guestimate" and Based on cars i hang with. everyone knows thats what dyno's are for.
also, there is a member on here making 260whp 14psi on meth stock turbo...

Do you have exhaust mani, intake mani, 3" DP, and 3" EXH, CAI, FMIC, larger injectors, meth injection, and stand alone? No? Then no 250whp, sorry kiddo.

I've been in this game since the 90's man, give it a break.

like i said the gt 25 spools like nothin. also 14psi doesnt even compare to 14psi on a disco.. n i highly doubt that. i boughr my first protege in 03 new.. you dont know it all. and ypu dont know if he can get 300whp.. this is jst like everyone sayin that the car cant handle more then 10psi woth out popping. yet lots of ppl do it n are still doin it. try wishin ppl luck ause unless youve personally tried on your car you have no room to talk. simple as that

Ahh ok. Yea I was reading the wiki on them and the older ones are definitely way better performance and looks than the newer ones that I still see every now and then. Since you do auto-x, a fast spooling turbo is definitely a good choice. But I'm a believer that it definitely causes problems with our already weak trans, so I usually don't step on it until I'm closer to 4k just to be on the safe side.

On a side note, I really don't think a CAI provides any additional HP with a turbo setup. If it did, why would so many people just put a filter right on the turbo and skip piping altogether?

Aright guys.. put the e-peens away. We're all homies here.

haha yea i do. if blowing things up scared me i wouldnt be into building cars through either. i am confident i can hit 300whp and still daily it. you'll see.

more power to you (pun intended)... Just wanted to make sure you were prepared. lol

Just be careful that you don't push too far going for the 'stock block' record and wind up taking the "shortest pull before blowing up on the dyno" record instead.

Thanks man, and knox... I can appreciate that you are an.oldschool guy, and for.the most part yes I do have those modifications, and a damn good tune on split second ( I know its not a standalone I.wish.it was). Cars aren't exactly math either. Mod a+ b+ c= horsepower doesn't apply. It does give I good idea, but there are still variables. I don't really need to.justify my guess for you.
