What have you done to your P5 today?

^ for now yes. since lip came orange lol. waiting on my front grill and a few other things to get everything painted the right way

tusch, that sucks man. I hope you are ok. The car though, I think oOn8 is right. Most likely totaled, and it will most likely never be right again. I hope we are wrong, but if not buy it from the insurance co and part it out. I know someone in Ohio that want a rust free shell for a track car. There is probably enough parts to sell to more than cover the buy back.

Crap, I really want to delete my badges but don't want some jankie looking plugs stuck in the holes and damn sure can't afford to have a body shop fill the holes properly.

Yeah... a pain to have done, but sooo worth it when done right.

yeah, check out bikingpro5's hatch shave. sooo clean. I'm proud to advertise protege5 on the back. I want to get one for my dg grill. I might cut it to say Pro5

Rolled new mains and rod bearings in and boosted the p5 yesterday. Gotta tighten up the knock sensor. Boost feels great!

I've removed every single Mazda badge on the outside of the car because i prefer a clean shaved car.. all the decals and badges mixed and matched are not my style, in fact I have not a single decal on the outside of the car any more either.. I don't need a badge or label on the car for people to know what it is anymore..

+1

Plus having the emblems done that way makes it another easy place for rust to start

Thanks man and yeah I'm fine. Just a stiff neck from minor whiplash. I won't know about the car till thursday or friday most likely and from there I guess I'll need to find out how much it would be to buy it back. Any idea what kind of cash I could get from parting it out? Living with my inlaws right now, but I think I could convince them to let me keep the car around while I part it out if I can get some decent cash, especially since I'll probably get less for the car then I'll need for another. Just roughly though, any idea what people generally get when parting out? Sucks too because I just replaced that headlight (a few weeks old) and I have a few more new parts not installed yet.

Looking around the state for another p5 though. I'd rather get a manual this time, since this was the sportragic. I found a number through out the state, several in the Columbus area, one red one in Clifton (Cincinnati) etc. All seeming to range from 5-7k with 100k-150k on them

Rust free and not smashed up though, Larry. ;)
