What have you done to your Miata today?

At least someone will keep my mantle ;)
In other news, thought about my Miata unfondly, then I looked down and saw this, sighed happily and continued on my way.

he says no problem on them fitting

just gotta clear wif da wife, but he's asking $400 plus trade of my wheels/tires

they're on AS3's with 70/40% left

I have the 949 6UL 15x9 with the Hankook RS3s.. Just a few things to keep in mind: 1.) Tread life is rather low. 2.) They do not like cool/cold weather until they are warmed up. 3.) The Hankook RS3s are really the only tire you can have on 15x9s and maintain a somewhat normal OEM diameter.

15x9's will hit stock styled shocks. Need coilovers to not rub on the shock.

Got the replacement pieces from RSpeed for my hood lift kit so the second one is installed again. I can't recommend them enough, their customer service is second to none in my experience. Also tried my theory about getting my high beam indicator to work with my HIDs but it still doesn't illuminate. Have to look at my wiring diagrams again.

I don't think so because the NA has a bit more room in the wheel well than the NB. I may be wrong, but all my reading seems to point this way.

In the wheel well, but the shock is on the other side ;)

I too believe they will hit w/ the big stock spring perches on an NA.

Just got done buttoning up the interior. Installed Second Skin's damplifier, sludge and closed cell foam throughout (trunk, doors, cabin). Also sprayed the interior plastics (inside/non-visable portions) with "Boom mat" spray. I did not go crazy with multiple layers to minimize weight gain. Huge difference-still need to test highway use (salt on the roads limited the test drive). Now the noise comes from the PRHT "cabin". Note I also removed the Intake Sound enhancer, swapped it for the auto tranny version of the same part. I just covered the hole with damplifier and a small piece of SS cut to fit. The car feels more "high end", but you can still hear the engine, especially over 3K rpms.

Also installed a SmartTop module. I think that will be a favorite come driving season.

Next is a tranny and diff oil change.

Damnit Muff....

So great know it all, (j/k btw) what do you suggest for this person and their 949 purchase? (I would suggest 15x8 instead.)

Per 949Racing's website:
Due to our competitors plagiarizing of copyrighted material from our website, we will now offer specific fitment and tech support only by direct communication..

If you have any questions about wheel or tire fitment, please give us a call or email !

That's what I'd do to be sure.

Pulled up to the pump as the guy next to me informs me the gas cap is on the other side of the car. . . I politely said thanks and continued to fill up

awesome!

sup guys, I was wondering if any of you are running Racing beat sway bars? I just ordered it for the front tubular bar and rear solid bar ,along with the end links of course. If you guys are running it do you have any praise and or complaints about them?

in addition to that I got RB rear subframe brace and apexi n1 exv coilovers. everything should be arriving this weekend or early next week I think that should be good enough to reliably allow me to drift without breaking my suspension components. :D after this I need to get some wheels and tires so I can use the stockies for drift spares. But i'm going to wait a while on that because I just got new Yokohama s drives on the stockies .

Drifting doesn't load the suspension as much as racing because you're not developing as much grip. I wouldn't worry about breaking any suspension components drifting, or even racing for that matter.

People have broken sway bar brackets when autocrossing their Miata with the big Racing Beat tubular bars and stock springs. With stiffer aftermarket springs + no autocross, I agree with James that you won't be breaking anything. If you're worried though there are HD mounts that you can buy.
