Ebay Exhaust

I think he meant he wanted some pics of it installed at different angles, or some more installation pics.

Pretty much says it lol I'm kinda picky when it comes to how exhaust looks so if anyone does have any different angle shots or install pics that would be great

Sorry for being a dumb ass, check who ever started this threads page and see if they are still active and pm them about it they might have more

the muffler portion is angled down making it look a little weird when you look at the car from the side. i would say buy it for the piping, buy a muffler of your choice, then take it down to an exhaust shop or friends house(if they have a welder) and have them mount it to your preference. When i had the exhaust on the car i had to make my own hangars to get the tip away from bumper to avoid melting it.

hi, guys, i wanted to kno how is everyone's ebay exhaust going so far? anyone had any problems with it? I am looking for something thats not too loud

Reviving this thread. I'm looking into getting the ebay catback. I just wanted to know how people like theirs. I have a few reservations about this system. Like all p5 owners know when you are cruising at 70mph in 5th gear rpm's are usually around 3300. That seems like it could be a huge issue with any exhaust. Is there any drone or does it get annoying or loud on long hauls. Also I'm really not a big fan of that cannon exhaust tip so would cutting the 4" tip off and putting something more like the racing beat style tip affect the sound at all. Any input and pics would be awesome.

it's actually very quiet for an aftermarket exhaust. the drone is about the same as the mazdaspeed axleback for the p5. it's not bad, but it's there. i'm pretty sure the tip amplifies the sound a bit, but not by much. i think it would be a good idea to swap the tips

Im lookin into this now, and it seems pretty good. Does anyone have any pics of the weird angle the muffler supposedly sits at. I wanna see if its actually anything worth avoiding. Any other pics would be greatly appreciated. And my other question is how loud is it, someone said it was barely louder than stock. If thats the case how could it ever make any power gains?
Thanks-Ben

It's louder than stock. Doesn't drone, deep throaty sound. The angle of the muffler depends on which way you install the resonator. Mine was weird, turned the resonator, now it sits perfectly straight with a very nice looking gap between the bumper and tip. I love mine. Only thing I'd change is the tip. I like the rolled tip better than the straight look

On eBay there are like three versions of the exhaust. There is the black one sold by "Modified concept" and two regular stainless ones put out by "D5 concepts" and "HDC Autosports". Are they all the same thing? Which did you get? I'd rather be safe than sorry.

Glad I found this thread. My KL P5 will need exhaust... and this is cheap as hell and you guys seem to enjoy it.

Wish the black muffler came with a non-painted tip... guess I could do this myself though. lol

Hdc autosports is who I and a few other people got it from. Again it does not come with instructions and make sure that you install the resonator the right way so that it is tucked against the heat shield

Does anyone have any other pics or vids? especially one after its been on for a while. I'd like to hear what it sounds like after the break in period, if any different at all. Thanks

+1 ^
If someone uploads another vid of the sound, i'll most likely order myself one of these by january :)
Also...horse power gains? if any? matched up with a CAI.. what can I expect? (I don't really care, and don't expect much.. just would like to know)

I just listened to the vids in the first post. It doesn't sound bad at all. However I would like one from inside the car, from a standing start and going through the gears and then holding at about 3000-3500 rpm (highway revs). That would give all of us that are interested a good idea of what we will end up with.
