Brian's interior shot is simply awesome. Very tough choice, but he got my vote.
considering he has more into his brakes then you have in all mod's. id say there's a reason.
i had to give the vote to the probe. i mean, check out the mod list, and then the dyno vid. sorry to deny my mazda6 brothern. but that probe is all FTW!
it was built at a mazda plant, using mazda parts. the only thing not mazda is the body shell.

Honestly its just what people like it has nothing to do with money plain and simple. Like someone said Herblenny has put quite a bit of money in his 7 which is totally sick and he took some time to win. Some people just like other cars more than yours we all have different tastes. Ive entered a few times and the most votes i got was like 4 I didnt complain it was all in good fun.
Once my build is done im gonna enter again if i dont get any votes its fine, it just meant i didnt have the best mazda that month. This contest is to see who has the best mazda this month and the people have spoken.

Hmmm, I'll probably be back in the next few months, especially since the TMIC is now off & I am running a full FMIC, need to update the engine bay w/a splash of color. Definitely need new engine & interior pics to go w/the great rolling exterior shot (thx Jason!), how I wish Jeff aka FlyinHawaiian was still local!
Anyway, its not an issue if I don't win. Been in the community for years also. Have tried to get MOTM with my P5 & my turbo'd Miata but to no avail lol. I always look forward to the great cars that get submitted.

My 2 cents on this MOTM...
City, I voted for Brian and only because he's car looked clean and well put together... and good pictures
I think if you get a better shot of your car, you might do better.. BUT, I will say this... Car culture these days seems to be bit more about style and trend. You either follow it or set it. I'm about to build a 3 rotor show/track car and this time, I'm going for super clean look inside and out. The days of insane number of gauges are going out the door. I recently acquired Defi DSSC (less than 5 in USA) and that's the only thing that i'll have on the car.. No AC/PS/ABS/SRS/Radio/speakers/... Just the latest ECU/computer/display and sounds of rotor coming out of a titanium exhaust.
Thing that I noticed here is that even though this site says "Mazda", there are far more Mazda 3, 6, and Protege guys. I was quite honored to win couple of MOTM in the past and I appreciate it more because votes are coming from non-rotary guys. This shows me that I'm building a car that pleases not just rotary owners, but the general public.
I have put a lot of money into my cars... but I will say this... Its a process in which it did not happen over night. I been emerged in rotary community for over 12 years and the MOTM winning car I had since 2003. If you break down what I put in the car by say 8 years, It comes out to less than $4000 a year. Personally, I don't consider that a lot of money... more so on time

This has to be one of the toughest months I've encountered since being on this forum. Every car has the ability to be a mazda of the month anytime they want. All the cars are clean, well thought out, and most show their enthusiast side. Make, Model, and pictures aside, the decision is made difficult just by one's love for cars and what makes each one unique and different from the next. The cars on this month are simply amazing and inspire me to keep my mazda for a long time even if it isn't the most valuable car, but because I see the advantages of putting work into something and taking a step back and saying holy s*** i did it. I would love to be able to see all these cars in person as many people would because they can appreciate the craftsmanship and work put into each one. This award gives car lovers the opportunity to see others cars without physically being there in person. So in closing, we all vote based on our love for cars and our ability to relate, much like for the president we vote based on our beliefs, political party, outward appearance, speech, etc.
Lastly, something neat to try would be to sell calendars if any one cares for my 2 cents on this. With there being extra pages putting mods lists for each motm car as well as something for the cars that many voted for but lost. I am sure many of us would buy the calendar....

I understand how passionate and protective we can be about our cars but some of you are truly acting like children. I was going to issue infractions because I've already posted a warning but some of you have embarrassed yourself enough already...I am going to clean up this thread though because of all the back and forth malarkey.
Seriously, some of you should be ashamed for "soapboxing" this thread, it's selfish and pathetic!
I'm going to create a new MOTM rule...No Complaining...No "Soapboxing"...No Trolling MOTM threads or your post/s will be removed and you will receive an infraction.
