What have you done to your P5 today?

Today I ghetto-rigged my brakes so they stop pulsing and I just got done applying a thick coat of rubberized asphalt on the underside of the car.

This s*** is NAS-TEE:

It takes two quart-sized cans to do the floor if anyone cares...

you did all that today?
jk man i've been reading your threads, crazy work into that thing. what kinda power are you putting down? is it a daily? or just driven competitively? forgive my newness here but i'm just so curious :)

In the summer I basically drive it exclusively if possible, (To and from Work, to get Groceries... Etc..) There is no point in building a car like this for it to Rot away in a garage..

It hasn't been Dyno'ed for that last 8 Year however, the wastegate has a 24 PSI Spring (Springs) and then there is the controller on top that will add to a maximum of 27 if the conditions are met (Engine Temp, Air Temp, EGT, AFR, Puel Pressure).

I will be installing the new turbo this winter, and the first thing that will happen is DYNO TUNE

Ack!!! Looks serious! haha

How'd you apply it?

It says "brushable" but I think that's a joke. I still used a paint brush but I would have been better off with a trowel or spatula. They recommend a 1/8-1/4" layer so that's what I did, the stuff is so thick you can easily do that without it falling off.

I didn't put any in the exhaust tunnel for fear of fire/smells, but the metal looks pretty decent in there anyway.

well, ive been doing quite a few things lately, but in the last two days i have: Put 2 new tires on the front, tinted side markers on fender and bumper, spray bombed the rims a nice glossy black, and also i have painted my emblems on the rear black, and also the front mazda logo. I have aswell painted the rear valance black( on a silver car it looks sooooo good) and then i painted my brake calipers yellow(best out of all of them!).

And theres still more to come, buying springs and struts, gonna drop it 1 1/2'' or so. Oh and best of all i have rust repair to do and also undercoating before the winter rolls around.

124k miles and alternator is toast. got a rebuilt one for 112$ with 1 year warranty. was a real b**** to get the bottom bolt out. hammering the socket wrench did the trick. pulling it out was also a major problem as it was hitting hoses and intake manifold on the way up. could not drop it down cuz of axle.

Installed AEM UEGO wideband and AEM digital oil pressure gauges. Crazy the difference in size and quality feel of the oil pressure senders. AEM on the right, also notice it has a molex plug compared to the prosport's screw terminals.

Drove yesterday with 4x Go Pro mounted on the car..

I am taking the 4 Feeds into Premier CS5 and Nesting them together.

The one I am saving now is taking 14 Hours to process at 1920x1080 30 FPS... on an I7 with 32 GB of DDR3 and 2 SSD in RAID0.. lol

Met up with DaveB and we flushed my brake fluid out with DOT4.

And got another blank switch to mount my LED switch in instead of the coin holder.

He had a speed bleeder. Fasten a cap onto the reservoir, a hose goes from there to a small tank full of new fluid, then pump up the tank to build pressure. Crack the bleeder at the wheel, and wait for the new fluid to come out! Super easy!

Yea, definitely a nice tool to have if you do brake work often! Eliminates the need for someone to pump them up, crack the valve, pump them up, crack the valve, etc.

Yea I have a self bleeder but this seems like it could work better, I have an extra reservoir cap laying around, plus bleeding stuff, I might make one of those if it comes down to it

somehow cross threaded one of the bolts when putting my caliper back on today after doing the wheel bearing. Makes NO sense how that bolt of all bolts could cross thread but it did. gotta pick up a new bracket tomorrow, hopefully can get one early in the day so i can still make it to school
