What have you done to your MS3 today?

I was just reading your yellow coilover install guide and i wondererd exactly how you preloaded front springs. My instructions on my Ksports are a bit vague. I like math and numbers for measuring these types of things. I also have noticed you have no mods to counter the much lower height you have chosen. Do you have your alignment specs after coilover install? Myself i haven't lowered the car yet because i was trying to sort out end link lengths. I still have that screwed up, but just need to get in there again i have right length now.
You are a little low for my needs, but as i get ready for alignments can use some good advice. Thanks.
Today i broke in front tires a little with some second gear rollons. They might have gotten a heat cycle or two!

wow, this was work, rain, rain, go away, then a power outage. Plus me being lazy and distracted.

but at the end of the day, it looks as good as it can

Looks great. I cleaned all the plastic and leather in my interior and just have to vacuum. The leather cleaner/conditioner I have is absolutely amazing. I'll have to check to see what it is when I get back home. The Turtle Wax ICE interior cleaner/conditioned works wonders for the plastics. Everything is cleaned and it leaves a semi-gloss that looks great. Exactly as I wanted it.

Eric,

The units came preloaded and I just set the height. I believe the BC come that way too. The height adjustment is not in the compression of the spring (or helper spring) like it is with other types of coilovers. I have not yet done anything to the sway bars with respect to lowering. Not sure if I will or not.

I have also not taken the car in for alignment so I don't have any specs. I know I am running quite a bit of negative camber. Probably somewhere between 1.5 to 2. The fronts I can adjust with the plates, but I would need the arms for the rears. In all honesty, ( and this could be the lazy mechanic or busy father talking) I like the way the car handles now.

Sorry I couldn't help you more.

The original maker of "Black Again" had something called "Something Else" for the interior. It was, by far, the best cleaner/protectant I've ever used on an interior.

So a conversation yesterday about gas prices between myself and 2 of my bosses led to one of them showing their ignorance

i told them my car uses premium, to which he replied "thats the biggest scam ever" and that the salesman i bought from was "some kind of genius". Although i wasnt %100 sure what he meant, i humored him by asking him why.

He told me there was absolutely no difference between the octanes, and that every car on the road can drive with regular gas. Aside from the obvious diesel every so often, that statement holds very little water. I agreed that with new cars any engine can technically run with any octane, but that my car along with most other high performance engines (charged or not) require a higher octane to run its best

he looked at me like i just told him 2+2 equals 143 and said i was a sucker

i didnt have the heart or patience to explain to him what the different octanes actually mean, and that hes a fucktard

You should have reminded your boss of this quote often attributed to Mark Twain:
"Better to keep your mouth closed and be thought a fool than to open it and remove all doubt"?
Then again, maybe not.

for sure not

One important thing I learned is never to argue with stupid people; they will drag you down to their level,.. and beat you with experience
