2009 Mazdaspeed3 GT with <48k miles for 16k?

Car in good condition with the remaining powertrain warranty and pre-owned certified by a local dealer.

Should I go for it?

I had a 626 coupe back in late 90s and really want to get in a Mazda again. Have only heard good things about this baby.

I thought the same but then looked at the carfax and its a clean one owner car. I guess reason for the low price is excess mileage?

btw if you dont mind me asking how was your experience with it? worth getting it or should I look elsewhere? I am not going to mod it or anything, just looking for a basic daily car with a little bit more thrust than average joes.

There has to be something wrong with it. Maybe an accident that went unreported to carfax. That happens quite often.

and how would I go about finding that out now if there was an unreported accident? These things dont get easy do they!!

Yes experience with the car. And I ask because you mentioned that you are selling it now.

A trained eye con spot repair damage. Crawl under the car and look for things that look out of place. Look for sections of paint on the body panels that don't match in either texture or color. Check the spot welds in the doors, under the hood, under the hatch to make sure that they aren't popped. Look at the fender bolts under the hood to make sure they are body colored and don't look like they've been removed.
Ooooorrr just bring a collision mechanic with you.

MY MS3 was fantastic from day one. Very fast to me. Very practical. Very nice car. Top notch interior. The only quibble I had was the tranny isn't as polished and smooth as I would have liked. That's probably just me coming from an auto though...
I'm selling because I can no longer afford the insurance and car payment every month.

Just wanted to thank you for sharing your purchase price as I was able to wait a bit and pick up a 2008.5 GT instead of a 2009 GT for 5k less. I brought the guy down to 11k and ended up getting an ok deal I think. Thanks..

60k.. clean carfax and autocheck.. kept in very good shape.. I think I did OK and I won't sell it for 11k myself..

You did real good, the car is about to be 4 years old model wise. Average mileage is around 12 to 15,000 miles a year so i say it's about right.
