My doofus friend that understands nothing about physics or driving nailed a big hole on a brick road in my town and broke the front driver's side spring perch off the strut on his newly purchased pristine E28 going around a corner tonight to pick up a pizza... He took the corner way too fast. I mean I have nothing wrong with cornering quickly, I do it all the time, but you have to know which corners to do it on, and that brick road is never one of them. It made me sick.. You know that feeling when someone that understands nothing about how to take care of a car has a car that they don't deserve... Yeah.. 
Probably the worst way to slam a car.. Zero suspension travel, the perch bottomed out on the sway bar and caliper.

Felt nothing. Only reason I even knew about it was the mass status updates from literally every person I'm friends with on Facebook.

It's the same setup as my E3. You probably could remove the shock absorber insert and weld it back together. Here's a diagram.

Wow it's been a while since I posted. Work's been killing me lately and now my classes at Akron started back up again. Hopefully I have more time now that my job's starting to get less hectic.

haha yeah i would like to but just got mine running with megasquirt.... no insurance and expired plates.. lol
