I won't make the July one, most likely. Gettin married in Washington state, so I'll be out for a while. Honeymooning in Bermuda

Sorry for bailing but we saw the cop behind us and didnt want to experience hays county jail, lol. Just curious what have you done to your car? It sounded good blowing by me!
I am so down for an Austin meet! But with a good turnout like this time, i guess i will have to find the roads. And there are like 5 pluckers here in town, one has a large, open parking lot next to it.

The cop came later after he pulled up and joined us .... That's when we scrammed.
All I have done to it is SRI and RMM =P
Where's the one with the giant parking lot? I'm looking to plan it more central-ish or north Austin in hopes of getting the Killeen/Temple guys down for the meet.

Depending on the July meet, I may either do that meet when i come home on leave, or ill just do local meet that weekend.. I SHOULD be home by the 23rd of July so if you plan that Sat or sunday weekend i should be able to make it out to that one on my leave home.

Was looking at the different locations of Pluckers up in Austin .... There's one on Research Blvd and next to the Pluckers is a place called Lebowski Grill ((for those of you who haven't seen Big Leobowski, this won't get you excited))
Anyways, right next to the Lebowski Grill is a bowling ally with a huge parking lot .... However, the parking for the Pluckers up on Research Blvd isn't ideal like that one on South Lamar
Although the idea was to try to get people from Killeen to make it out, maybe the meet should be in Round Rock. But would that cut out a lot of SA people?

Round Rock is even a bit of a drive for me... The one on 183 (research) and Burnet Rd may work but I don't know what their parking lot is like at 7pm on a Saturday night. I have never been to Lebowski Grill, does it have anything to do with the movie?

yea, they named it after the movie, the menu says "the dude abides" ((famous quote from movie)) and it's right next to a bowling ally which is basically what that movie revolves around, lol
looked at the one on research via the google satellite or w/e .... parking lot doesn't look ideal .... the one on S Lamar and in Round Rock have the better parking lots. Yea, Round Rock is about an hour for SM and Temple/Killeen and 1.5+ hours for the SA people. S Lamar would be 30 min for SM, 1 hour for SA and Temple .... Maybe that will be better.... a bit of a drive for everyone (except austinites) ... but that's the purpose of mixing them up, not everyone has to make the long drive each month.

At SH45 and IH35 in Round Rock there is a Twin Peaks on the N/E side with a Home Depot parking lot right behind it! on the N/W side there is a Hooter's with a Lowe's parking lot beside it. Both have pretty good access on and off the main hwys. Just a thought.

I'm thinking the South Lamar location might be best .... That way the drive for San Antonio people isn't like 2 hours, but it'll still be an hour for SA and Temple/Killeen if the meet is on South Lamar and about 30 minutes for San Marcos people and nothing for Austin people. The meet will probably be the weekend of the 23rd ... so keep your eyes open, I'll post up sometime in July and send out PM's!!!

S Lamar is about 10 minutes from home, Round rock is about 45-1hr. But I am open for either. FWIW Williamson County (Round Rock) police are awful.
