That's why.

Lol. Nice. The car is a bit lower in the rear now.

I installed a new front lip/splitter today too. No pictures because my camera is in a box at my new house and I haven't moved over there yet.

PS. I have a muffler waiting for piping to get bent so no exhaust comments are needed...

Okay I lied. I took some crappy cell pictures.

The lip is a subaru lip that is made from urethane and is very flexible. A few small modifications were needed but it fits like I was hoping it would. It's a touch lower in the front but I am not as worried as I was with the speedline 3 piece splitter that was made from like a hard plastic/resin.

+1!!!!
However, I seemed to have gone the more conservative route based on the minimal feedback given.
I went with more form fitting flaps... those that hug the body better.
To me, the flat, universals like the JBRacing flaps look more like they belong on a truck than a sporty car.
Perhaps that's just old school thinking,. I don't know.

They are smaller than some of the others, but they do help keep the car, especially road tar and rain splashes off the rear bumper and side skirts. I used to go crazy trying to clean the lower rear bumper cover of road tar.

Also, I have trimmed them up a bit since these pics for a better fit.

nah sorry bud. definetly not in my taste.

btw what did your vibrant exhaust run you? its a full catback right?

That's OK by me. To each his/her own.
I was never, let me spell that out for you N~E~V~E~R into mudflaps. I always associated them w/something an old man would install. But no matter what style you chose, they do help with the messes... and the corresponding clean up too.
I'm not sorry I installed these on this car.

I like to call it a full PREcat-back since a high flow cat is part of the system. In '06 it cost me around $640 to my back door. It was pretty easy to install too. Took 1-1/2 hours with time to come up with some new hardware, or an hour if you are already prepared for than scenario.

(werd) nice. ive hear alot of mice things about vibrant so its probably what im gonna go with. and it doesn't sound like a rice can right?

Nope. Not at all.
I was surprised the first time I got the car over 80 though. Normally its quite user and neighbor friendly . But get it over 80 and it turns into a beast!!

Lol. Nice. The car is a bit lower in the rear now.

It looks great...really..but doesn't look practical..like, you must memorize EVERY single potholy/dent in the road dude...i would have high anxiety/stress driving that low lol.. A+ though! :)

PS: I really like the new spliter

It's not nearly as bad as people make it out to be. "The roads here suck" is just an excuse for people who are worried about keeping their daily driven cars looking like show cars. I beat the s*** out of mine and drive it hard because that's why I bought it. My fenders collect rubber but it's still functional. I drive it every day and I scrape and rub tire every day. Once you get used to it you just smile and keep driving.

Here's a crappy cell shot of my new front lip.

Another lip? lol

I use to have mudflaps on my old car. I mean i guess they kind of helped..a dirty car is still a dirty car.

This guy gets it, QFT!

exactly that makes complete sense. the funny thing is people who do this are often refered to as "assholes" myself included. my response: Don't get upset with me because you can't drive your car like it was meant to be driven.
