The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

I know they have a pic-a-part in on the west side of Cleveland not sure about AKC.
Everyone make it thru the nasty weather ok?

weather hasn't been that bad for me, no hail or anything but the river is kind of high close to work so we might be sent home on flood warning

Does anyone know if it's some sort of felony to shoot out warning sirens? I'm about to kill he one across the street...

We've had storm after severe storm go through here for the past week and the NWS feels the need to issue a Tornado WARNING everytime. To make matters worse it's Butler County policy to sound the sirens for tornado warnings. Where I came from (hurricane-prone) a WATCH meant something might happen. A WARNING meant hide in a damn closet because you're about to get nailed! Just annoyed because I was out mowing the yard when the sirens came on and with one being across the street it's deafening. What's worse is we didn't get anything; no wind or rain! That all came later last night and I guess a tornado did touch down and cause some havoc a few miles north. No sirens or warnings then...

The sirens were going off in the towns closest to me yesterday. I live out in the country though so luckily I can't hear them.

my siren is loud enough that I can just here it with the windows closed, but I cant' here the anoucement.

I love stormy or foggy weather while working at the airport. If it is to foggy the planes get diverted while we get paid to sit there and wait for freight. When there is lightning nobody can be out on the ramp when lightning strikes within 10 miles and have to wait 20-30 minutes after each strike. I love getting paid to watch bad weather. I thinkin the last 2 weeks I "worked" 40 hours while sitting on my bum. I wish I worked for commercial company and not freight. They are union with awesome benifits with 2-3 times the pay. Bastards lol.

Anybody have any networks within GoodYear tire that can help land me a job? Looking at trying to become "Learning and Development Manager." It requires a Bachelor's in Education, which is right up my alley!

Do it from your neighbor's yard, so if they do some kind of ninja bullet tracing....

My buddy just started working there, but he's a grunt, and I doubt he has any clout.

sounds interesting.

99% sure I'm going to The Grand Prix of Baltimore Labor Day weekend. My future brother in law is stationed not far from there as well as having friends living there and in D.C.

Grand Prix of Baltimore sounds cool! Maybe swing by DC as well...sounds like a fun mini vacation, minus the in-law part...

My in-law is a great guy, plus since Amber gets to see him I get to see the some of the races. win win! not sure the plan if were going all weekend or just the ALMS race on Saturday. It won't be anything like a Godfather ran Mazda Coral, but still should a lot be fun

I don't know if it is or not... I suppose it is. Hey, I will check my schedule and consider going--I will let you know for sure tomorrow evening and shoot you my phone number or something so we can meet up. I know a bunch of the Akron cats are in Lime Rock this weekend, but anyone still here is welcome to join us!

edit: I think it is still a pretty big show. I live 15 minutes away, but my dad had seen 10 Model A Fords headed that direction last Saturday evening, so it must be on and it must be pretty big. Brunswick has always been a car scene city, even back when my dad grew up there. He gets all giddy when we drive through Brunswick and a ricer pulls up next to me in my MS3, LOL.

Brunswick Family Restaurant; Laurel Sq Shopping ctr, Rte 42 & Laurel Rd; 5p-9p; 400+ cars. [begins whenever the weather gets better usually first weekend in May 2011]

And yes Nate, get it done by July! Oh and if you need a place to stay up here, I think that can be arranged for that day. Which reminds me, a time has been set and I need to update that thread......going now.....

G'mornin peeps!(coffee) Just finished installing Injen cold air intake. The stock air box was a mutha but I was the winner when the dust settled. LOL! Holy crap does that thing sound badass,(alright) Jenny is going to hate it! Maybe not?(dunno) Only problem is the hose (pcv) that connected to the stock intake will not attach to the cai, so I will have to improvise a connector. No biggy.
