What have you done to your MSP today?

I know we've gotten a couple posts out of him the past couple days lol
holy crap you posted lol...i got excited thinking you got the msp started on some of the pile of work you have waiting for it....btw picked up another miata (well shae picked it up)

haven't done anything since Im in the sandbox but I decided against having a shop build my motor. The money I would have spent on that could be spent elsewhere like towards the Haltech Sprint 500 or a GT3071R turbo. I'll be ordering a build kit from Sam shortly and it will sit at home until I get back which is when I will source a spare block to work with. P.E.P downpipe is about to be ordered, in on the 505 intake manifold, steedspeed exhaust manifold is about to be ordered and I will be selling my CS exhaust to get the 80mm exhaust to go with the downpipe. Stay tuned, lots more to come in the following months...mostly ordering stuff. I won't start an actual build thread until I get back.

cant really answer your question about how they work but i picked up a used aem here for pretty cheap... just haven't installed it yet. stock exhaust...

the j pipe should have a bung with a block off bolt, atleast mine did. Maybe too rusty to easily take off now though

It's in line with the one on the CS dp

So, I replaced the front brake pads yesterday, and surfaced the rotors by hand. I forgot how much I hate working on cars, yesterday was a good reminder. The brackets that hold the pads were bent, so the pads fought me the whole way in.

I thought they had worn down the whole way judging by how the brakes felt, but the reason they were bad wasn't a wear issue. I had cracked the pad material (this couldn't be from drilled and slotted rotors, could it?). I'm guessing from just being too hard on them on backroads, and auto-x. I went ahead and replaced them with the same pads, Hawk HPS.

Yeah eventually I'll be back full swing, just too much going on and I really can't wait to actually be working on the MSP. I did recently do something with the RacingHarts at least. I am really liking how they look on the NC.

Drove it to York today to deliver a part for my work, simply because I wanted to put miles on my new clutch. I was on the clock AND they agreed to pay for my gas. Winning.

I feel like I'm driving an entirely different car since replacing the clutch, flywheel and exhaust components. I highly recommend a lightened flywheel to anybody. It is amazingly smooth.

the difference between the anallog AEM and digital innovate is like milli-seconds. No difference you would ever notice

I can get the MTX-L for $174 shipped so i will order that, yes it displays only milliseconds faster but in the top end it makes a difference and that is where it matters anyway.

I almost got one of those. Bovs pretty simple so not sure why they cost so much. Just take care of the diaphram. Treat it nice cause you prob cant get another one.

Not sure why the ebay pipes are so grudgingly talked about. Aluminum pipe is aluminum pipe.

I'm looking at CX racing kits and they have BOVs included in the kits for not much extra and it includes the flanged pipe. It's tempting however I may want to spend the extra for an HKS SSQV.

Also ordered the MTX-L wideband, couldn't find a better deal on an AEM so I went with the digital. As soon as all the parts i've ordered in the past week get here it's going to be a day of modding, I don't have enough of those.
