If you like getting sideways for absolutely no reason on a very mildly damp highway at 75 mph all because you hit the gas in 5th gear, then Nexens are for you! If you're looking for something to get you by and you're on a budget, sure... they're ok I guess. But if you car has any power (I see you have a Protege, so that's not a problem) then avoid them at all costs. You'll die. That being said, I hope you don't have any high hopes for the Federals either...

As said, avoid them, they're pretty worthless.

Gotta say, I've loved these past 366 days with the miata. I've missed the protege here n there but have never regret moving on

As far as the federals, I have not been happier. They look better, ride better, stick better.. I am really happy with my choice.. I just hope they can hold decently under power lol

the actual lense kinda lines up with the line where your bumper and fender meet, looks like a string or something hanging out of it. thats my guess
