Cres, I use the Mazdaspeed link all the time now, mang. Thanks a ton! It's so much easier to just find the part I need and order it from OnlineMazdaParts.
Busy day today. I'm pooped. Working on the car (especially suspension) is exhausting.
Got the fuel lines ran today. But after looking at Josh's P5 I think they might be backwards. I'll check the manuals in the morning. For reference, 5/16" fuel lines work great. They are tight to get on there, but nice and snug. I used some rubbing aclohol to slip them on a bit easier. And of course some hose clamps.
Here's the 626 power steering low pressure hardline alongside the larger KL hardline. It bolts up just fine, though is a little angled towards the header. But not close enough to cause any trouble with heat, I believe.
What the heck is this? heh-heh. It's on the MX-6 tranny. I've got to look into the MX6 manual more since all the Milly's have automatics.
Here's the Protege tranny "plug" for the sensors above.
Bad news, looks like I did snip the ABS sensor wires from the wheel well on the passenger side. Dang it. But the drivers side is still good. Hopefully the speedo will still work with the single last ABS sensor. Or else I may need to source an MX-6 speedo for the tranny.
Here's the power steering pump and 626 hardline from under the car.
And the power steering pump and hardline from above.
And here's a pic of how I ran the power steering hose. I used 5/8" tubing and it worked pretty well. Nearly impossible to fit over the KL power steering hardline, but fit over the 626 hardline and the Protege resevior.
Here's a pic of the Raybestos lower control arm. It looks very similar to the OEM Mazda arms (minus the rust). And the bushings look pretty good. Fitment is good but I don't know how they feel until the car is actually running... But they look good and I'm happy with them thus far. I only got the drivers side done. My arms were Jello by the end of the afternoon. Those fuel lines and PS line kicked my ass. heh-heh
And the old OEM control arm.
Then I borrowed Phens Civic and ran over to Josh's to weld the bungs. And got a free horn to boot! Score, thanks buddy! Josh does good work!
It took me 6 shots to finally get some sparks... heh-heh
