I'm in a learning mood today, can someone explain to me what the springs sit on when the perch is cut off? and as far as height how much lower is it really making the car? and how is the ride quality after? i would assume terrible but I have no clue since I've never ridden in a car like that or ever thought that as an option for modding

yea, i dont know if its any different on stock struts but im on tokico blues right now and i just followed this thread. basically it just sits on the weld on the strut after you cut everything off.

Nothing wrong with that. It's really no different than the snap ring that Koni's use to hold up coilover sleeves. Magnum was probably thinking you were on the swaybar tab.
That's actually exactly what I was thinking. What's the engagement of the spring perch and the strut after the original spring perch is cut off? I mean, is there just a lip it's sitting on?

click the link, it shows exactly what he means. The Ground controls sleeves just sit on the weld made to hold the perch on.

Toe out makes turn in more responsive because the inside tire is already turned toward the corner. The inside has to be turned more because it goes around a smaller radius. The outside tire turns around a larger radius and therefore doesn't need to turn as much as the inside. So with toe out you are closer to where you need to be even before turning the wheel.
Factory alignments use toe in because it tends to keep the car in a straight line and reduces wandering with the crown on the road. Its just easier for bad drivers to deal with, which is the same reason they build in understeer.

Haha would that even work well with fwd? I think id get stuck in one spot doing burnouts.
How's the fitment with 205/40 on those MB's? I'm about as low as you with the same specs on these enkei's, but im wondering if 215/45 would fit.
