Is dairy that much cheaper in the states? I haven't really noticed it. Milk is $4.50~ a gallon here and the one time I bought cheese from the states it wasn't very good cheese, comparing IGA house brand cheese in the US to Real Canadian Superstore house brand cheese. Could be worse, could be Hawaii. $9 a gallon of milk, anyone?
I went to Point Roberts, WA to pick up my shipment from Griot's Garage. Decided to get some gas before heading back to Canada.
Maybe one of the only places in the USA where they sell gas by the litre. (rei) I guess when 90% of your customers are Canadian, you have to cater to your main customers? Those are American dollars, but in Canadian dollars it was $1.15 9/10 per litre, way better exchange rate than I got at my bank.

At the pump it did say $4.53 2/10 a gallon. More expensive than the mainland USA but 70 cents a gallon cheaper than in Vancouver. It was even cheaper at Can Am gas, $1.12 9/10 a litre, but I'm wary of no name gas stations and Arco.
Border lineups were pretty long. I'm receiving a second shipment from Griot's for other stuff I need... I'll probably park my car and walk across next time. The 30 minute combined wait was not really worth it, the receiver is a 5 minute walk from the border.
Cheers.
