Mia-too! Winning Blue NC FTW

(omg) Not only ballin' Oleg but sexay as hell!! Can't wait to see the car in person next weekend...oh and you of course too. :p

Nice colour Oleg. Looks great. What's the current camber in the back?

How is it to drive?

Aligned the car tonight, as it was rubbing lightly still. Went autoXing last Sat in the old wheels/tires, as it was also really cold and I didn't want to take a chance in 38 degrees on non-broken in tires.

Anyway, dialed in .5 degree more negative camber on the rear and .7 more in the front. Rear is now about -2.0, front is now about -2.2. Set toe to be just a touch (0.10mm) toe-out in the front and just about a touch toe-in (0.10mm) in the rear. Drove it around just now and it feels fine. Turns right in. No more sounds in the rear, do still hear a bit of a rub in the front, but inspecting the fender, it seems to be all rubbing the plastic guard inside (which is OK by me, as long as it's not the metal).

Have a sneaking suspicion that the rear toe might not be quite perfect at zero, but I will recheck everything later, after I drive the car a bunch.

Gonna try to get some mudflaps up in that MFer.

Interesting. I'm running 1.5 in the front and 2.3 in the rear. For me I found 2 or more in the front and the car was hard to keep straight on the highway, found every groove and rut. the rear is 2.3 due to the lowering.

Is 2.3 the minimum camber you can run due to lowering? Performance-wise, it's best to keep the rear camber same or less than the front.

All this talk about mudflaps reminds me of this Spinal Tap song.. "Talk about mud flaps, my girl's got 'em"

BTW, Oleg, Spinal Tap is a spoof band from a mock-u-mentry film in case you didn't know. "This is Spinal Tap" was a movie that poked fun at the late 70's / early 80's rock scene. The lyrics and on-stage antics are not supposed to be serious in any way.

Test-drove, seems like right left still rubs a tad, need to roll it more aggressively (right rear is not rolled as much).

Yup. No issues for me. As I said earlier, if the front camber is 2 or more, the car becomes too darty for me. Love the way it handles now. Been using that for 2 years now.

Autocrossed today. Goddamn, that's some nice grip now. It needs suspension now. Front left still rubs metal, I think I'm going to need to play with the caster to get a little more camber in the front.

What suspension are you going to go with?
