The Moderately Low (Not Slammed) and Functional Thread

Megan Racing or Canucks are 2" drop front and rear i believe. my springs now are a 2.5" drop roughly

canuck offers both sedan and p5 and i cannot remember for megan as well but definitly sedan.

the 2" drop for both is sedans. not sure about the wagons

Im good the way my car sits! Im a big fan of slammed but this is the max I can do where I live and I love it!

and those are mr evo wheels right? 17x8 +35mm??? tire size plz??

yes sir, MR all day, 17x8 38offset I believe, and 215x45x17, I had the original 235/45/17, looked sick on it and very aggressive but it was shreding the tires on the rear fenders so I changed to 215s, looks good on new tires as u can see my rear tires are done and looks skinny as heck but the front looks perfect with new ones

where can i find canuck springs? also, never seen megans for a sedan, ive been looking.

check the megan site. i believe they do. maybe im wrong.

for the canucks they can be found on ebay or on their site canuckmotorsports. something. i got them for 130 or somethings. i believe they are knock offs of the megans but just a slightly lower spring rate. my guess is 250 front 200 rear. as they are a bunch stiffer than my previous MP3 ones. for the price one of my best mods.

niiiiice i plan on getting almost your same set up. s-techs, msp lip, chargespeed lip, 17x8 +35 rota grids with a 215 or 225 tire, rolled

since time is almost here to change my rear tire, I might try 225s, I like to see rubber around the wheel, looks agressive, so I say you should try 225s, you should be fine rolled

235s on

Well, it's at this time that I like to let people know that for ideal suspension geometry on a 3rd gen Protege, you only want a 1-1.4" drop all around. Anything more and you're working against the geometry of the suspension. Sure, it'll still handle great with a lower center of gravity, and stiffer spring rate, but it's a night and day difference. I was on Mazdaspeed B-spec springs (7 sets in North America) which were a 1.3" (roughly) drop. s*** was on rails. Then I went to Tein S-techs after I thought I was trading the car in. Still handles well, but no where near what they used to be.

And the MSM can now finally play in this thread!

H&R springs, stock Bilstein shocks.

I dig it! The wheels are nice too, considering they are 8 years old or whatever and off a Honda Civic--I never would've guessed it!
