It all depends on whats done to the rest of the car, some people have it and it just does not mesh, other people put it on and it flows instantly....
wheels are going to look dope!
Thanks Charles, i've never installed the rear mm, so this info is real helpful. Thanks man.CitizenPro said:I second that. Should look goood! Maybe you already know this, but coming from putting on David's AWR motor mounts... I'd install the rear first, passenger & drivers side second (doesn't matter which one) and the front last. I did the opposite and had a hell of a time trying to line up the rear. Getting it out isn't the problem, its lining that b**** up to put in the bolt after all the other mounts are inoh and the passenger mount doesn't exactly line up to everything (at least ours didn't) so getting the all started first and then hitting them with a impact gun little by little all the way around gets them to work
Not a fan of the evo cf hood, but If I do get a cf hood than its going to be oem style.NocturnalSpeed said:If you do go with the evo 9 wing, you might as well go with the evo style carbon fiber hood.
Damn the hood, trunk, wing and dem rims are going to be EPICCCC!
Yea, its a really clean, light, and well made wing. What dampers?? Are you referring to the awrs.. If so, I love them. Build quality is top notch and the grey finish is nice. I want to install them, but my priority is tuning right nowSignature Sound said:I like the Evo wing. Joka1 has it on his and its tight.
How so you like those dampers?
It going to look siiick in the bay. I'll be selling my Tial 50mm after the new intercooler setup is fabbed up and complete.SeR_Cyclops said:Hey, that BOV looks familiar ...... Hehehe build is looking good man!
Yup yup. Both tabs are broken, its been through a lot of abuse lately. plus my roommate last rear backed into my frt bumper...that sure didn't help ..lol..NoxturnalSpeed said:Holy *%$!
I just noticed your front bumper......practically falling off your car.

Ever consider the reverse cowl? paint the "U" in black and leave the centre rear portion as CF (think reverse "Rush") and a grille won't be necessary. You can still do the mazdaspeed stencil, and it would look pretty sweet IMHO, although it may not flow as you would wish. Thanks noah, I'm very excited to see the mx5 rims on the car. I think it will be a nice contrast of colors and the stylish spoke design for an oem wheel is decent. They will have 10mm(17"x7+45) spacers, so the stance will be tucking tire.

Just my personal taste, I love the simple style and I might do a trick' black mica blend with a "mazdaspeed" stencil. Ok, so basically keep the center of the hood carbon fiber and paint the sides of the hood black mica but position the mazdaspeed stencil above the drivers headlight so the text would still be carbon fiber. I would have to find a carbon fiber front grill to make this flow well.

Thank you very much Protege17, I can't believe you read the entire thread. Wow!! I've always tried to execute my decisions with a careful thought process and most of all to simply improve upon an already beautiful car is a great challenge to me.wow this is the sickest protege speed ive ever seen. its clean and not to flashy. I read all 44 pages in one night and have to say pretty impressive. subbin!
Hey CulRidr your spot on about the reverse cowl. After Rush's hood, she started an amazing trend. That hood is gorgeous, it really is amazing, yet since several members have gone that route I want to go for the oem cf style. Who knows, I might not dig it, but I just love the stock body lines of the protege.Ever consider the reverse cowl? paint the "U" in black and leave the centre rear portion as CF (think reverse "Rush") and a grille won't be necessary.
