msp build parts (preview!!....:)

It all depends on whats done to the rest of the car, some people have it and it just does not mesh, other people put it on and it flows instantly....

^ I second that! Should look gooood.

Maybe you already know this, but coming from putting on David's AWR motor mounts.....I'd install the rear first, passenger & driver side second (doesn't matter which one), and the front last. I did it the opposite, and had a hell of time trying to line up the rear. Getting it out isn't the problem, its lining that b**** up to put in the bolt after all the other mounts are in :( oh and the passenger mount doesnt exactly line up to everything (at least ours didn't), so getting them all started first and then hitting them with a impact gun little by little all the way around gets it to work.

If you do go with the Evo 9 wing, you might as well go with the Evo style carbon fiber hood.

Damn the hood, trunk, wing and dem rims are going to look EPICCCC!

Holy *&%$!

Just noticed your front bumper.... practically falling off of your car!

wheels are going to look dope!

Thanks noah, I'm very excited to see the mx5 rims on the car. I think it will be a nice contrast of colors and the stylish spoke design for an oem wheel is decent. They will have 10mm(17"x7+45) spacers, so the stance will be tucking tire.

Not a fan of the evo cf hood, but If I do get a cf hood than its going to be oem style.
Just my personal taste, I love the simple style and I might do a trick' black mica blend with a "mazdaspeed" stencil. Ok, so basically keep the center of the hood carbon fiber and paint the sides of the hood black mica but position the mazdaspeed stencil above the drivers headlight so the text would still be carbon fiber. I would have to find a carbon fiber front grill to make this flow well.

I like the Evo wing. Joka1 has it on his and its tight.
How so you like those dampers?
Yea, its a really clean, light, and well made wing. What dampers?? Are you referring to the awrs.. If so, I love them. Build quality is top notch and the grey finish is nice. I want to install them, but my priority is tuning right now :).

Ever consider the reverse cowl? paint the "U" in black and leave the centre rear portion as CF (think reverse "Rush") and a grille won't be necessary. You can still do the mazdaspeed stencil, and it would look pretty sweet IMHO, although it may not flow as you would wish.

Looks OEM and it'll release some of that hot air you got trapped underneath the hood!

Thank you very much Protege17, I can't believe you read the entire thread. Wow!! I've always tried to execute my decisions with a careful thought process and most of all to simply improve upon an already beautiful car is a great challenge to me.
By now you fully understand the drama i've been through. Fortunately, this pass year I started working with Performance Race Solutions here in Sanford FL. They built me a solid motor and have been a great group of guys to work with. They even contract me work (auto body&paint) often, so its been fun hanging out in the shop and making money at the same time.
Stayed tuned in for my 5-6psi basline dyno tune coming soon. I know its hardly any boost, my turbo is laughing at me, but the numbers should be interesting .. ;)

Hey CulRidr your spot on about the reverse cowl. After Rush's hood, she started an amazing trend. That hood is gorgeous, it really is amazing, yet since several members have gone that route I want to go for the oem cf style. Who knows, I might not dig it, but I just love the stock body lines of the protege.

I love the reverse cowl like 505 has. Those are my favorite hoods for the msp.
Richmans reverse cowl hood is soo "cherry"...haha. Quoted from the man himself.
Speaking of the 505zoomer, I need to give him a call.

When you talk to him tell him to go ahead and send me that hood..... It really is awesome I love how they look.

Sick

Xmuthaf2 !!
Brain's work and communication is top notch. Just look and the quality craftsmenship, hardware use, finish, man everything is perfect bro. Thanks again for contacting me and for hooking me up because I can't wait to mount these tanks in the engine bay... I finally get to yank out the ugly oem coolant tank..hahhaa.
Anyone one want it let me know, I'll send it, just cover shipping.

Brian do you have designs or logo, if so send it to me and I can make a stenicil and air brush them onto the tanks. Lmk, if you don't I have some ideas I'll send to you. That would be a fun project for me.

Side update, the RA-10 relucter is wired into the haltech, pressure tested the TB and no leaks, made a sick return line with a SARD fpr and I'm going to do some wideband logging while on a street tune session with jay tomorrow. Sick tune in the works! Might take a few dyno runs later on to get some peak hp readings if we have time, if not then wesdnesday If i'm not working all day.
For the hell of I'll post another crappy cell picture taken from the shop last week... I dig it. I do need to finah painting the miata wheels this week because there going to be my daily wheels on my hankooks.
