Any photographers in here?

I don't like his writeups. They're way too opinionated, and he comes off as an elitist. If I want to read stuff like that, I can just look at forums. I like raw data.

@sleeper3 - Neither do I, but he has good quality texts with lots of info and his lens reviews are quite good.
@jud - He's too much "my way or the highway" for some things.

I have and love the 70-300 VR...it's not a pro lens, but you wouldn't expect it for the price. I like the 50 1.8, but personally I find the 35 1.8 more usable. Honestly, they are so cheap you might as well get both!

Thanks for the comments!

It is a DX lens after all, and the D90 isn't really a pro camera either now is it? So I think that they will fit rather good together.

I think I'll look for the 70-300 VR, the 50mm 1.8 and the 35mm 1.8 then. After that I think all I need is a good wide angle lens like 12-24 or something to have a complete set, but I have no idea what to get there, any ideas?

Any other lenses you guys consider a must have??

I've heard GREAT things about the tokina wide angle offerings. Their fisheye is supposed to be a must have for dive photography.

haha no, we were just walking around downtown DC taking random photos with the 50 at f/1.8 since I never shoot that lens wide open. I have to say, I was always afraid to do that, but I am really happy with the results. It's actually really sharp wide open.
