Thank man! I am still trying to figure out everything. Like ISO and aperture and all that s***. But my pics still come out grainy! Idk waht to do.
If it's a P&S, there's no real way for a picture to come out clear at a higher ISO than whatever is default.
The higher the ISO, the more grainy a picture will be. With a P&S, using even 800 ISO is useless because the picture will turn to s***.
I don't exactly remember the technicalities of it all, but the sensors for any and all point and shoots (including the highest end P&S you can find) just aren't up to par with even the lowest grade DSLR.
The smaller the aperture, the less light will be exposed through the lens, as aperture is how big or small the opening of the shutter blades is.
Generally, the smaller, the more fine and focused everything will be, but will require a much shorter shutter speed because there's less exposure.
Yeah its a point and shoot, 12.2 megapixels i believe, and I kinda want a dslr, but i dont think i have used this camera to all of its abilities. I think I need a professional to show me how everything works and such. But thanks for the advice!
A professional would pick it up and be like.... "wtf is this!" and tell you to get a DSLR.
DSLR's are actually pretty easy to get the hang of and even on full auto, my pics came out 10x better than they where with my Sony.
xmazdax youre doing well for the camera you have...Its got a lot of the manual controls like the dslrs have, I believe it allows you to shoot in raw mode so you can open it up in photoshop and really tweak it.
Reality is youre shooting in lower light so your shots will be grainy without a big image sensor dslr...the fuji's work awesome outside in daylight, dusk is much trickier. Its still a good camera and its more than a point and shoot, but slightly less than a dslr so its in an odd category of its own (I sold min for 30 bucks less than I paid for it after having it over a year...good purchase for me I enjoyed it). My old s1000fd pics are here (basically same camera but 10mp) http://www.flickr.com/photos/thegreatjonashley/sets/72157625852766064/ (no car pics though)
