What have you done to your Mazda6 today?

Ebay most likely. I figured what the hell. I've done HIDs on the Miata & the old P5. I'd give the new gen LEDs a shot.
Planning on doing that by next month with the lamin-x yellow overlays.

Installed a spin on oil filter conversion kit, and Quik6's old RMM. Shifting is far better now, I think I'm going to be very happy with the change. The kit was a pain, whoever put the bolts on the engine originally cranked them way down so it was a lot of effort to get the stock filter canister out.

RTV'd my leaky TMIC/cold pipe... night and day difference... had to recal my maf since it was cal'd for the leaky tmic... my calc load jumped to 2.4 while my maf g/s were low.. my stft shot down to below -25, i was idling at 13.8 afr... this was all because my leak was fixed and my maf was scaled way too high..

Phil, I'd like to see how those work out too. Does anyone have them in an amber LED or a 3000k version so you wouldn't need the LaminX? I have a feeling that the LED fogs won't put out a ton of light and the film will reduce it even more.

Qwik, what can I say, you just make sure she gets a good home. I'm going to miss seeing pics of her all shined up and sparkling.

I started my morning by getting rear ended in an intersection a block away from where I park for work. I don't think it's TOO bad, and maybe if I'm lucky it will just be paint, but I want to have it looked at to make sure there's nothing serious going on. How much would it cost to have a rear bumper painted anyway? I have her info, and it was 100% not my fault.

so, because of MLK day, the base's hobby shop is closed, so I guess I gotta wait till tomorrow to redo my lights....maybe I can look into fabbin that plug n play for the boost gauge....

tried to put the front bumper back on but it isn't happening. My new CPE FMIC has a metal plate on the bottom that contacts the stock splitter (two teeth like projections that extend from bottom of bumper). It looks like I am going to have to either break those off or remove the entire splitter. If I do that however only the top part of the bumper will be bolted. The bottom will be basically hanging there. I am not really sure what I need to do but im going to call cpe. Hopefully they can offer more than those horrid instructions.

i'm pretty sure with the cp-e you have to remove the stock splitter, one reason i hate that fmic because once you do all you see is that ugly metal tray that the fmic sits on.

+1, it needs to be powdercoated black so it doesn't stick out.

Why was it leaking?

So...after doing a bit more research...I decided to go with the trusted & proven HIDs. It seems the LEDs look brighter, but are garbage and worth crap when you are driving.
I will use the LEDs for interior and acc lights.
Besides, $36 shipped to my door for the same HIDs on my Miata doesn't hurt the wallet too bad. I've had those in since 2008 w/no issues.

Probably won't get installed for a while though. Plan on doing all the mods in the spring after I clean/clear the garage etc.
