so i need to buy tires soon ...im running 205/45/16

im thinking toyos or i have bfgs

i need some suggestions im in nor cal so its raining now im looking for good all season performance

I would say go with the Toyo's. Japanese tire with Japanese Car? its a win win. I currently am rolling Dunlop 5000's , but they wear quick. I have used BFG Radial TA and they were nice. but I drive on highway alot and the toyos I think would be a smoother ride. Have you tried Yokos ?

I've been running Falken 912s for about 6 months now in rainy FL and it has faired really well thus far.

I have been running Kumho ASX 195/50/R16 which is the stock size, they also make the tire in 205 as well. I have been very happy witht he performance even in the rain here in Oregon! i got the set of four installed at America's Tire for about $350 if memory serves me right. They are an inexpensive tire, not a cheap tire. 2 plus years on them and still very good tread life, wearing even and performing well. They also got great reviews when used on the P5. Just my two cents

I just bought Dunlop Fierce tires in 205/50/16 and they are awesome in rain and snow. I had Kumho Ecstas and they were sticky as heck in the dry but sucked donkey peepee in snow.

Those are the top rated a/s on tirerack, but they have squishy sidewalls, and are so-so in the snow, to be expected. For the op, in norcal, you don't need an a/s unless you hit tahoe all the time. If its just bay area driving, a summer will kick an a/s ass. 452's are GREAT in rain, in have em on my wifes car.

I just ordered these:

Contintential ExtremeContact DWS (DWS for Dry, Wet & Snow).

Reviews are good, hope they are okay.

Had these for about 12K now. Love them. Much better than "so-so" in snow and ice unless your comparing to a dedicated snow tire. excellent treadwear, great in the rain. You do compromise cornering stiffness especially when new. Mine really tightened up after 5K, 36 psi helps. Best bang for the buck IMO

looks like im getting toyo proxes 4s but im looking at falken tires it a mater of what my local shops can get right now

You can always have tires shipped to you then drop them off with your wheels or car at a local tire shop for install. That's what I always do. Generally they charge $60 for dismounting and removal of your old tires and mounting/balancing of your new tires. Just another option for ya.

I've had a couple sets of Falkens, the Beta's and the Ziex's. They were both pretty good for an inexpensive tire.

Don't get proxes 4! Those are not competitive anymore! The dws, goodyear gt, or falken 912 would be better choices.

If you are going to consdier the DWS and don't need the snow capability go for the DW instead. I've been very pleased with mine since installing them back in September....of course you could go with some blizzaks. lol

^^^Gotta agree on the Proxes 4...I've read a few other negative reviews on them. IMO there are much better tires out there now as these are getting outdated.

Thanks Evan...had to have a little fun at work. :)

Damn...ninjad by pwmp5...lol

If you don't need snow capability (which will be mediochre at best anyway) forget the a/s nonsense. The continental DW, bridgestone 760, falken 452, hankook V12 will all serve you far better, rain or shine.

Stay away from riken raptor as well they do great when its dry but are utter s*** when it comes to rain and snow
