tunersteve's 2011 Mustang GT thread

Ordered my new front fascia today, picking it up Friday. I'll end up picking up the Boss splitter later next month once stock becomes available.

The splitter that comes on the new Boss? If so thats tits.

Yes, same one on the Boss 302. Actually adds a little downforce in the front and funnels air into the brake cooling lines (if equipped).

Here's a pic after I got the lower fascia installed:

That looks nice, you going to eventually run lines to the brakes? I doubt you need them with the brakes already on the car, but I guess it's something to have in case you want to.

Lookin good.

Theres only 1 new 5.0 in my area and I saw it pulled over by a cop this afternoon. The guy looks younger than me.

Thanks.

I already have the cooling lines, I just need the rotor hats and they'll get installed. I probably don't NEED them, but any time you're on the track, keeping brakes cool is a good idea.

I was able to find the part # for the additional lower splitter for the front. I'll probably order that next and install it.

Car is coming along nicely, Steve! Will we see you @ Mid-Ohio in April? My wife is now looking at the 2012 Boss 302......

It's in the plans, some time later this year most likely.

You may, depends on time and how comfortable I am with the car. I may still end up going as a spectator with Rehagen. I'll keep you posted.

Cool, I wil be speaking with Dean Martin @ Daytona and also Jack Roush, Jr. too, love to get some of their feedback about the cars.

I've already spoken with Dean about how to set up my suspension, and will end up having Rehagen put together a package for me when I go down that road. I'm hoping to start that later this year, buying the parts and waiting for a weekend to throw them all on.
