NEMOC Random BS Thread

does anyone elses p5 seem like it takes a long time for the heat out of the blowers to get real hot? my gfs 93 aero warms up what seems like instantly and the p5 takes a good 10-15 minutes

my car will take about that time on real cold days....if it takes any longer, check your overflow bottle and make certain you have plenty of fluid...i had a small leak once and it wasn't till the cold weather hit that i realized i was low because the car just wouldn 't heat up

Hey Chris (Subspeed), have you seen Gary(Boosted)?

Yeah he sent me a random PM about it... I had the same reaction. He's about 45 mins from me I think.

So, I had a couple of interesting things happen this week while out of town on business (yet again!)

1. The new Hyundai Sonata is quite a nice car. After driving one for 5 days with a daily commute of 45 mins from hotel to site job, the car is a lot better than I had imagined.

2. I still get labeled as military and tend to get military discounts without having to ask.. (The hotel I booked was cheaper under military rate than corporate rate.)

3. Filing for expenses on a company trip are rather aggravating.

4. I saw a bunch of crates from SKF at the site this week... Made me think of Jenn and if she handled the balls that were in the crate. Next week I'll take a closer look at the shipping label.

Congrats Ashley!!

I got my car back finally! Looks good.....and the best part, it cost me nothing. The money my Brother-In-Law got from the ins company covered the accident damage and had enough left over for the rust on both sides....Looks soo purdy again! Will take pics tomorrow.....

Took some quick after shots....Looks good.....makes me smile looking at her again..... :)

The P5 takes about 3-5 minutes to warm up for me, pretty fast. Are you talking about sitting there idling or about actually driving it? I usually only idle about 30 seconds, then drive it gently.

I think that if you don't run the heat when you first start the car, it'll warm up faster too.

Cost me nothing......Ins company gave me 800 for the repairs from the accident and it covered it.....It was going to cost me 500 before the accident for the pass side and divers side so another 300 to bang out some dents and a little extra rust work.

let me be more specific then, hehe. the temp gauge warms up plenty quick, just i dont get much heat blowing out to warm up the cabin super quick compared to the 9-3.
