O' Purple house.... O' Purple house... how a loathe thee... O' Purple house.

all the lights will blind your eyes...
the 'lectric bill is ten miles wide...
oh purple house oh purple house, we hope you catch on fiiii-reeee.

I warshed the 8 yesterday and cleaned up the headlights on Dozer (the truck). Used some Meguiar's plastx and it worked awesome to get rid of the cloudiness! Waxed them, then reinstalled them.

just installed one of the headlights, there's a stupid torx bit I don't have holding the other one in, so I'll do that at work. Took about 2lbs of misc wiring stuff out of my car as well, from the lighting wiring to the A/F gauge and switches.

Xmas lights should be illegal before Thanksgiving.

Had a great day down in North Kingston RI. Course condition was kinda harsh. Very bumpy in spots but a much faster course. Had to shift into 3rd at times and that was interesting. Satyed kinda cool so it was hard to get the tires to stick.
that's cool bruce...how'd you get hooked up with the ri folks?

haha
it is way too early for christmas lights.
well they don't actually put them on till thanksgiving night...so they run right thru till the the 28 and they shut them down...before they switched to LED's they were spending around 600$ on their electrical bill for that month and a few day period..now, less than half that, they still have a few incandescents
Maybe you're pregnant Luke?
So how bout them Giants?
those giants made the cowboys look like super bowl champs!

Morning all. Monday sucks. My cold has been brewing and feels the worst today.

Bruce - sorry to see about the car. When is the insurance adjuster coming to look at it?

Got a call from the other persons insurance company. They setup an appt for weds to get the damaged appraised. We will see.

It was posted on the Miata.net forum. It was interesting but not sure I would go again. 2 hour drive for me. Nice people though. The owner Anthony runs a driving school for professionals.

WHOA GARY!!!!!!!! You're awake!!! And it's before noon!!!

Yeah! And it's 11:30am and I've already been home for a half an hour. Easy job today!

Buuuuuut...I missed 3rd shift so much that I agreed to cover for someone tomorrow night on a separate 3rd shift job down in New Haven. On top of that I've got a training course I have to attend tomorrow so it's going to be a sweet 16+ work day tomorrow. ...But I get a day off (hopefully Friday)

thanks bruce, we'll see..with all the kids gone now, i don't need 3k sq ft house with 3/4 acre lot to take care...my taxes went up, again..i'm now paying almost 7k to live here and i get almost nothing for it, my road is falling apart, i don't need the schools any longer, i don't even have trash pick up, after the winter this yr they didn't even sweep the streets...sand everywhere...enough whining already! :)

You're just getting old and cranky Mahk... :p

I'd usually agree...but he's actually got some valid points this time. Even my street gets swept...once...It's too expensive to live int he northeast. Curse my parents for not following all the hippies to California back in the 70s

...I bet the town is silently protesting the purple house being purple

yay, my bike fits upright in the back with a fork mount. now i wont have to have the bike covered by anything :)

There's going to be a spring clean meet in Ohio... Just sayin. ;)

Again I say, it's a damn shame I live so far from you guys.

Ah Bruce that sucks, sorry to hear that!

Anyone has an air compressor and an air hammer/chisel that I could borrow? (I have the bits) I need to get a rear hub out of the back of a Toyota Corolla, rear bearing is bad, the whole thing comes out, but it's seized on inside the knuckle. Would've been a 10 minute job. Been banging it with a 4-lb sledgehammer, no give. Thinking air hammer can do the trick. Any other suggestions?
