I bet he (or she) can't wait to sleep in their own bed!
Do they come with tires? And if so...are the by any chance all season or winter tires with lots of tread? lol
it won't give you a LOT more power but it will maximize what you can get with bolt ons, and as Wes mentioned make you engine last longer. They're a pain to tune at first but will be easy after it's done. Sahlen's gave me the name of a very good tunner since a Sport 1000 is in my future, don't think it'll be cheap though. Let me know if you want his info.
I use to tune the old Haltechs, specifically the E6 and E10. This tunning software is way different but much better (and windows friendly!), you can learn how to tweak it for winter and other altitude locations should you decide to drive hard in other states.
Ah, I'm pretty sure the Sprint 500 is technically a piggyback (similar to AEM F/IC). Does RX7Store not deal in Haltech products? I know they have to ability to tune them and they should be pretty close to you. I think they actually prefer Microtech's though...
EDIT: Just checked and I'm wrong, it is a standalone. I was thinking of the Interceptor.
my next question was gonna be about the interceptor, since i'm just gonna be bolt-ons would that be a better way to go? I think my biggest question would be about installing it and how to get it to the tuner, would it have to be towed? would it be better to have the shop install it? i assume i can't plug it in and drive it to the shop
well i would include all season tires, the tires are worn a bit unevenly and the insides of the tires are fairly worn, but the middle and outside of the tread is still pretty good...
i found a set of OZ wheels for sale locally and i really just want to sell these quickly to have some extra dough to get the OZ's
i would just do that then... snow tires are way better than all seasons
as long as you put the 215/45/18s in the front and the 225/40/18s in the rear or vice versa you shouldnt have any issues
Sweet...thanks!
Now...where to get the tires mounted? LOL
I don't know if I trust them...but the cheapest I've seen for Mounting and Balancing is $10 each at Walmart http://www.walmart.com/cp/Tires-Services/495845
My friend has a place that does it for $25 each, but I'm not sure if there's any extra cost with TPMS.
Anyone know of a local (NE Ohio) place that mounts and balances for a reasonable price?
Monroe did mine for $18 each, no TPMS. The dealer use to do them for the same price. And regarding the tires, you should be fine as long as they match, and wider is not better for the winter, you want the opposite
I was just telling Levi about Leipolds up the street from my place. I know it's not close to you but they do a good job and I would highly recommend them. And I don't see anything wrong with running two different sized tires, especially for the winter and since with the sizes you listed they would be pretty comparable to each other with sidewall and width.
And Yay for the Spicy being home! Even I missed that car...
I want to say the mount/balance my Enkeis for $18 a piece (without TPMS, obviously) but I'm not positive. Give them a call at 330-688-1208. They're in Stow just north of my house on 91.
evan (mr lewis) haha
i know you said something about next weekend not being good for you and i forget why....but do you think there would be any way we could set up a weekend in the very near future to put my new clutch and flywheel in my car? mine is actually hindering me from driving the car like she wants to be driven (starts slipping now without giving it full throttle) and i should have my new one sometime next week
