Which exhaust should i get?

i have a 2008 speed3 gt, lately i finally start putting some aftermarket parts on my speed. i have already got a MS CAI on my car but thats about it.

now im thinking of getting a CBE on my car with in this month and a downpipe before new year.

so i am not sure which CBE should i get, im kinda choosing from borla, magnaflow or mazdaspeed, and i have no idea about the downpipe.

please help me out, thank u (naughty)
 
i would recommend the corksport products. they are made with flanges not some cheap clamps or whatever it is with the magnaflow. they sound really good and are one of the cheapest cat back's you can buy on the market. the whole turbo back is only 807 bucks haha
 
unless you want the mazdaspeed logo on your exhaust tip don't spend the extra money on the mazda exhaust. It's just a rebranded magnaflow. Corksport's is very nice and much cheaper as said above.
 
CNT Racing make a nice cheap cat-back. I love mine with a nice deep tone at low rpms and drone free during highway driving.

Wow thats great. $320 is quite a deal and it sounds good too. I just hate it when the exhaust comes out at weird angles. Why can't you just make it come out straight? I don't get what they're thinking when they do it. Maybe it's just my ocd. I would totally jump on that catback if it wasnt for that.
 
so most of u guys r saying that corksport is good? i want like a deep clean sound. and i was wondering how many more whp the turbo back can give me, or how many more from just a CBE
 
0-5hp from catback...if that...stock exhaust is pretty free flowing
downpipes can get you 20+hp

essentially the cbe is pointless unless you want the sound. I'm not bashing it, I want a deeper sound too...but no gain+$350 or more= lose IMO

But I like the sound of HKS hipower or CNT the best, although I agree that corksport is probably highest quality
 
im not sure if i what the turbo back yet because in canada there are a lot of stupid laws, for example if u have a loud exhaust, u would get a ticket for 500 dollars
 
i was just checking out the corksport, its kinda cheap in price, and also i heard that corksport is the same thing with autoexe, and autoexe is really good
 
I am on the fence regarding this as well. I like the CS TBE...or I like Cobb DP w/ CS CBE. idk. just a CBE is not worth it, as I've accepted...

those stripes look like crap.. sounds loud, and raspy if you want attention I guess that would be good

Listen carefully to this quote. He is absolutely right. The stock CBE flows better than the maximum output of the stock K04 turbo. There are really no power gains to be made with a CBE. Spend the big bucks for a change in sound if you like.

OP: Modest suggestion -- do the downpipe/racepipe conversion FIRST. It will change the sound of your exhaust dramatically, anyway. Put your money there, because there are very substantial power gains, on the order of 30 whp to be made because the stock DP has such a severe right angle flat wall that the exhaust hits coming out of the turbo (no bell mouth shape like a good aftermarket dp) and those two stock cats, one in the dp and one in the rp, are not high flow cats. The restrictions on this exhaust are all upstream of the CBE and there is where the initial attention should be addressed if you are interested in power rather than just sound.

I was pointing out the angle of the exhaust. I don't like the stripes on the car but I could probably get used to the sound.
 
i have the corksport cbe and its my favorite mod to date. $450 for sound seems dumb but every time i turn my car on i smile, even almost a year after installing it. there really is no performance increase from it lol. the test pipe will definitely give you some more power and a lower rumble but the dp is where its at for power, im ordering a corksport dp right now :)
