The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

If anyone is looking, my dealership just took in a 2008 Mazdaspeed3 with 18000 miles on it. Not sure if it's a Sport or GT. I can find out though.

i couldn't get any service when i was there

thursday? it was nice out so i went to look after class and went by the audi vw section to see if you were there and someguy at the desk near the door just starred at me in a weird kinda way. i thought saw you in the back but you looked busy

^ hater.

Just kidding. We will never understand the slammed craze. I just noticed another one of my RPF1's has a dent in it. I can't imagine any slammed cats running lightweight wheels. They would be trashed in a year.

Well see the difference is that Evan, you average 45-50 on streets thru town. They average 15 while dodging manhole covers.

Hey I just wanted to say that all you people in here are awesome. When I thought the car was going to be down and I would be forced to part out, I got so much support from the people on here. Even though it ended up being something relatively minor, the amount of support and help you all were willing to give was amazing. I want you all to know that if you ever need anything, I'll do my best to help you out.

Hey man... you know us. We take care of our own kind.

Who needs a car club when we have car family eh?

^^^ Precisely, Phen. How ironic that you couldn't make it to Team Sahlens shop the other night and yet the word "family" was used quite frequently about Mazda owners. We've always got your back.

Without getting too mushy, I've made some really great friends this past year through Mazda. Last summer I was just the quiet, shy guy who was hiding behind Phen at meets. Now his friends have become my friends as well. And not just because we all have a Mazda "M" on our trunk. Because you cats are pretty damn kickass.

End mushyness. Carry on.

I think my real family is getting jealous that I spend more time with some of you than I do with them..

No problemo, Ivan. I'm glad it was something minor!

Heh. I invite my immediate family to hang out with my Mazda family. It works out well that way. When you can't hang out with Phen, just hang out with my dad. He's a good substitute. Haha.

It's pretty amazing that some of you I've only met once or twice yet it sort of feels like you know 'em already. I'm pretty shy and not very outgoing, but it is cool that Mazdas have been a link in finding other things in common. I mean, Jesus, we all agreed to go apple picking together... :) It has been the best summer I have had between Mazda meets and going to MidOhio to watch Mazdas go fast. I can only imagine next summer is going to be crazier/busier!

What desk near the door? Did you get out of your car or something and walk around? You should've flagged me down. :(

it was an office inbetween the audi and vw section. i started at the porsches and worked my way over, i was done looking just seeing if you were there at that point.

This was my favorite part:

if you entered C Street Prepared at the 2009 SCCA Solo2 Nationals, you would have been obliterated by Miatas. Out of the 33 cars entered, Miatas took 27 of the first 27 spots. That is more than domination, if that's possible. It may not be the fastest on the day, but you can almost guarantee that a Miata WILL win its class.

You thinking what I'm thinking? Edit, fail on my part, I wasn't paying attention enough to notice it's not a rx4, but it was the style I was after...
