What have you done to your P5 today?

Another update pic..headlights are a bit mismatched due to how foggy the lenses are...still need to clear those and get them looking brand new...aloso need to get the rims panted, instal the eyelids, front lips, and grill, but going to hold off on those until the turbo it goes on...

picked up a set of speed3 wheels today with zero flaws. taken off a new speed3 a few years ago and just kept in storage

me and my p5 almost died today...some redneck pickup truck guy got on my left side of a single lane and tried to drive me into the ditch because i nicely passed him over at a light before it merged into 1 lane...he gave me a dirty look and i was about to flick em off but i held myself back cause i didnt want him to do a sudden brake check on me....

You can't stop faster than a pickup truck? I would have been on fire if that happened to me. Woulda made a phone call and followed that guy home.

This douche in a Camry fake swerved in my direction trying to scare me a couple nights ago and then stared me down all while getting off the freeway. I just laughed and did it back. Numb nuts got out of the way and then turned the opposite direction.

I'm a firm believer in people needing repercussions for their actions. People get away with too much BS.

i could stop faster however i was in traffic and well people were only couple feet away from me in the back so it wouldve done like a domino effect type accident, and the last thing i need is an accident that i couldve avoided at the corner of my neighborhood.

ok, I think I know whats wrong.
when you mount the sway bar, the bar should be as level to the ground as possible. if the bar is pointed in a downward position, then it will flip like what happened to you.
now it would be to your benifit to get adjustable endlinks. This should elimiate your troubles.
going back the reinforced tabs...look at these pics. its hard to see in this pic, but if you look where the bushing mount, you will see a small reinforced tab. this is the only difference between the msp and stock p5 subframe.

now, look at this one (P5)

pay no pay no attention to ms paint markings lol

now, it should look like this when done. notice how the bar sits level with the ground.

does this make sense?

Dude....thanks!!! Those are the pics I needed to see.....I was searching google images from work today and could not find any decent pics of the bar orientation along with the end link position.

The bar did flip on me since it's been hanging loose and this is how it laid when I took it off. At the time I hadn't thought of it flipping and this is how I was trying to install it. Guess this qualifies as stupid things you've done when working on your car. lol

I just did the 3M headlight resto. It worked great, but I had a problem with spending $20 on the kit. I should have researched it more. Basically you sand with 500 grit and make it look really dull, but even all over the housing. Then do it again with 800 grit, this time removing the 500 grit sand marks. Next is a trizact pad which they claim to be 3,000 grit. A wet sanding with 2000 would be the same. Then polish the lens with a buffer. I think the only thing special with the 3M, is the buffing compound. 3M also has a UV inhibitor wipe to help keep the lenses clear longer. But of course that costs extra. I dont think my P5 is going to last another 8 or 9 years to worry about it.

all u gotta do is sand them and reclear lol
i buff mine regularly and kinda have to or they start looking like ass
but only because i dont really feel like reclearing them

Yea, the headlights covers look rough...they are somewhat clear in the pics, but very cloudy...supposed to pick it up on Saturday...he still has to do something with the clear to smooth is all out...buff and polish or something...

i tore out the knocking engine today and began disassembling it to see what the damage is. I have also contacted several vendors to decide who I will be purchasing my parts through.
