What have you done to your MSP today?

AWR = best (but has broken in 3 or more cases)
SLS = break
SU = poor quality
fixed

just a fyi...my brother had a AWR mount and that s*** broke, like the metal section, then we re welded it, it broke again, so we just put the stock side mount in
im re welding it again right now and modifying it some to get the metal to be stronger hopefully

its a good piece, ive only heard like 3 or 4 times where the AWR broke, compared to a ton of SLS and a ton of SU complaints

AEM UEGO is in the mail, can't wait to install so I can fine tune off of the stock supermap on the SSAFC. Also ran into these today, one at Autozone and the other at Oriellys... The black MSP is stock and the MP3 is stock as well other than a boost gauge and a narrowband air/fuel gauge for looks

^ nice find...

today i ran the msp in an autox event... car started overheating and now my innovate wideband blinks E 8..... ggrrrrr. but on an upside i turned the tokico illuminas to setting #3 from #1 and what a difference it made making some turns ;)

nice find, i wish there was at least 1 other msp in my region lol...

all i have here with cars near ours are sti douches or evo fags..

and the 1 evo is a piece of crap and the kid hates it to death.

I've cursed my new p2006 cel, and I'm on my way to repairing via the VTCS-less modified stock manifold.... hopefully. But the car still runs great, it's odd. Of course I am still wary of the lean code that its throwing as well, which goes hand in hand with the p2006, from what I've read. But hopefully, come tomorrow, I will have a modified intake manifold on.....

Thad.

Awr are what i'm looking for then thanks, I just wish they were cheaper. I can only do the pass. and trans mounts right now. I also found a hole in the plastic timing cover while changing the belts today. The belts wouldn't tighten because the bracket wasn't bolted to the block at all, luckily I found the bolt loose under the alternator and now all is well. No belt squeak on startup. And I found an exhaust leak, probably due to the completely toasted motor mount.
This car is turning into a money pit.

I think that MP3 was hit. If you look, it appears to me the doors are dull too. The only thing actually shiny is the fender. Perhaps while getting it repaired, he got the repair shop to shave the antenna, markers, and badges.

The Black Mica, I was going to ask how you knew it was actually stock but looking at the pic a little closer reveals an open hood and that says it all.

I see MSP's all the time where I live. I think they're typically the same ones though. There's two Spicy's near me, there's a Blue Mica I used to see regularly on my way to work when I worked in G-ville, then, on that same trip to G-ville, there was an 03.5 blazin' just sitting below some trees, fading and rusting to an oblivion. How do I know it was engineless? Cause it sat at a tire shop in G-ville for weeks. I went by asked the owner who's that was. It was his kid's car. Blew the engine and wanted a new engine so he could get rid of it. Then there was the hideous yellow MP3 that I posted in the rice section with a flame job that spelled out "MP3" as well as "custom made MP3" seats that looked like garbage and chromed out "custom" spoke wheels. Oh, and lets not forget the Spicy I saw once with steelies, a black hood (not CF), ES wing, and altezza's just sitting at a repair/junk yard.

another reply back from isport for me >.<

"Kyle, it is very easy to criticize others work. I always expressed to you and the forum that infusion of cf is not a perfect process with regard to cosmetics, but it gives the lightest wt and highest strength . I am sure if I keep making these all of the issues can be improved on. This group buy only generated six paying customers (5 at 650 and you at 500) and that is not even a break even senecio. On future projects the cost of r&d will have to be covered up front. No more freebies and larger group buys .
Maybe a wet layup process would be a better method for these, but I do not do that. I know that you always did your best to edify iSport and I appreciate that. I have always done my best to satisfy by customers in all my 35 years of business history, but sometimes it is impossible to satisfy certain situations. Right now I regret attempting this fender project at the price I agreed to..... Never again."

I honestly dont know what to say back, lol. Hes trying to backup what he sent to me? LOL

I think he's trying to say something along the lines of "you got what you paid for..." As an artist I find it pretty bad they would send a product out that was anything less than perfect. When it comes to my CF work, my ethic is, "would I put this on MY car?" I have a much higher standard than many people, so I feel if I am happy enough with it to put on my car, then I have no problem selling it to someone to put on theirs...

ask for a refund and send them back to him..

But then ill be out fenders... lol! rather see him make me a new set that doesnt have this many issues.... But i dont know what he wants to do yet... I still need to try to test fit them, and if they fit and if isport isnt going to do anything about the bad quality my friend is going to overlay it with another layer of Carbon fiber, fix the brackets so they are stronger and make it looks good lol!. But it would e easier for me to just get new ones that dont have issues...
