Let's see some Mazda3 5-doors

i sprayed em... cost me about 30 bucks for the paint (already had all the prep stuff) and a weekend to prep and spray

what did you all use to prep? did you have any paint chips on your rims? sand blast them at all?

i didnt sandblast them... (didnt have access to one)

i just sanded, cleaned the wheels, then sprayed... and so far no paint chips, but i only sprayed them olive drab about a month ago

had been painted bronze before that and that held up very well other than some dumbass tire guy not listening to me and scratching up my wheels

what did you use to sand? just paper? or like an electric sander, i think sandin around the center cap/lugnut area would be a pain the arse

the whole wheel is a pain in the ass...haha
i have stock ms6 wheels and they have 15 or so spokes.... haha yeah enough to drive ya nuts

Nope they were put on when I bought it and now one of thems going bad. Good grip and everything but now I need another.

...Aaaand, just to get back on topic.. First one is raw, second is tweaked:

Dunno about mine... So far they've proven to be solid performers but functionally unbalanceable (is that even a word?) -- nasty harmonic vibration at 50-60mph if they're rotationally out of sync w/ each other. One of them needs 5oz (!) to be balanced.

I can't really afford to replace them for spite, though.. not unless the vibration wears out the struts sooner, which'll cost about the same as new tires.
(dunno)

2008 Mazda 3s Grand Touring Hatchback

Hey Folks,

Here is what my '08 Mazda 3s GT looks like with the**** Yellow Clear Bra headlight protection film. Love em!! At night time, I see better with the Yellow ones vs with the Smoke color clear bra headlight protection I had on them.

Yes. I took these pictures this morning after 8AM. As you might be able to tell, it was humid as usual here.

BTW - The driver side fog light has the smoke color film on it. The passenger side does NOT HAVE any film on it. My Mazda has the clear bra film on some of the hood and on all of the bumper, left to right. Tire to tire, you know what I mean. lol
