What have you done to your Miata today?

Speaking of... we have to figure out when Bruce made the Protege to MX5 jump. He was before a lot of us. He should be right after Andrew.

R-Speed hood prop(s). They had 'em on sale, and I wanted something lighter that would allow me to fully remove my headlight bucket. Sold! The old one's a good bit heavier too, so score on that too :)

Holy cheap as crap batman! From where?!

A friend of mine that builds the race Miatas for Texas World Speedway. He says the car was used for racing school and was hardly ever used, mostly sat. Either way, it can't be beat for $50. I'll be trying to pair them up with Illlumina's which are $450 for a complete set on eBay.

Rough life :p

I'm picking up a set of FM springs today for $150 with 8k miles, which I suppose is still a decent deal. They should be worlds better than the Tein springs that are on it now...

I'm guessing the ones I'm buying have much MUCH less miles than that (hard to tell when the race cars are measured in hours rather than miles). The track isn't even 2 miles long, plus small amount of use. I'd guess it has about half the mileage of the ones you're buying.

are they GenI springs? I was offered a set free, just had to come get em off the car

I'm not sure to be honest with you. I'll know for sure when I get them because apparently the 1st gen has gold numbering or something to that effect.

Unfortunately I don't have a friend who builds race Miatas. There isn't much of a used performance parts market here in the boonies.

Dec 2007. What list is this?

Tylor's signature has the chronological lineage of when people decided that modding a Protege was an ill-fated journey and bought a Miata to have more fun with.
