Protege03ak46's Build Thread

So, Bit of an update. New wheels have been ordered and will ship out on the 31st. All i can say is there aggressive and matte black. Some will hate, others will love. Hopefully more love than hate (getting tired of all this hate on this forum).

In other news I decided to fix my bumper sag on the driver side. to those who haven't seen it:

I decided to go with a road race/track look, so I went and ordered some rubber hood latches from speedwaymotors.com. Weren't to expensive at only 13 bucks shipped. They are going to be riveted on. Im worried that the plastic isnt going to hold very much up. So Ive got options;

1) put washers behind them and then rivet it up
2) make a plate and rivet it behind the bumper, kind of like a sandwich

What do you guys think would work best?

heres a pic of one:

id say go with a plate of sheet metal. it will be much stronger, especially in any case of your lip contacting anything like the pavement on a hard corner. it may want to pull the bumper down and that would put a lot of stress on the plastic.

then yes haha
thats some crazy offset nigg.
what kind of camber wil you be running

no more then -3* please, that guy with the spicy and the stickered up lip was running 17x8 +23 with -3* and that s*** looked LEGIT

not sure how the 16's are gonna look but we shall see

I didnt go with 17" because I think there to big for a stock body protege. My over all goal is to be different, do things people dont normally do on a protege. That includes keeping the stock bumper and the sedan lip. With the p5/msp bumper you can pull 17s off easily but with my current set up I just dont think it works. 15's are to small so 16's were my choice.

Not exactly. What brand of tires u going with? The brand changes the stretch. My Nexen's are hella square, you'd never believe they're a 195 on a 8" wide rim.

My only option is yokohama S-drives. The stretch is kinda meh. But the tires are good.
