What have you done to your MSP today?

Finally found a junkyard that deals mostly with Mazda's and just got a 2003 Black msp in going Monday or Tuesday to get at least the doors and whatever other goodies I can find :). Gutting the interior to detail it today thanks to my daughter lol. Also finally got a Nikkon D3000 to take better pictures still playing around with it.

Details on the junkyard? Location, web address, phone number, inventory, etc?

what happened to the cf trunk pic?

and on the exhaust thing....

my buddy has the vibrant on his turbo dx pro. its not that loud. it has 1 cat and 1 resonator. but then again, after hearing my exhaust on a daily basis, being no cats, resonators or anything, most other exhausts dont seem so loud ;)

and in other news, one of my hids went out AGAIN. time to break down and get a ddm kit. at least to hold me over till i do my projector project

Ya theres a few yards I like around here that I've used for a while but they have like a combined 5 proteges, & they're all stripped... I've tried others, but there just aren't many proteges. Which is weird cause I feel like I see a fair amount of p5's & Protege es & lx's driving around town... I guess Protege drivers are good & don't wreck their cars?? lol

But ya, let us know what they have. Dibs on some Mazdaspeed door sills & fd wheels if you find some, lol.

I bet its in Hazelton - my buddy told me about one up there which had a s***-ton of Proteges, been meaning to make a trip up to see for myself...

Alright ucmp3 I'l let you know. And flyinhawaiin I'm not sure yet he only gave me the number and when I called I was so excited that they actually had an 03 msp and my color that I forgot to ask and they were closing when I called but told me to call Monday to talk more and come up Tuesday and they can work out a deal.

Also doesn't help i've been working 22 nights straight from 11pm-8am and raising my daughter basically by myself while my wife is in basic haha.

Well. My dad and I just changed the oil in my MSP for the first time, and it will definitely be the last time. I've always had it done professionally with a lift since it is so much easier but I thought I would like to learn it myself. First we couldn't find the damn filter (LOL), then we couldn't get the ****** thing OFF. So we had to go to pepboys and get a filter removal tool for 5 bucks and it finally came loose. Then after putting in 3 quarts we went to start it up before topping it off...and it didn't crank. Some more profanity was let loose and we eventually found that the connector to the starter had come off since the clip is apparently broken off. After all that mess my oil was changed but my dad vowed he will never work on it again...lol.

wow, talk about bad luck, I've done mine myself (and a few of my friends cars too) about... 5 times or so for my car alone, since I bought my car and had it done professionally once, would never pay anyone else to change my oil, to much money for such an easy job IMO, but I do notice that after getting it done professionally, they usually tighten things wayyyy to tight, which makes it a b**** when you do it yourself later

Word of advice. Buy oil change gloves. They have a rubber grip that basically sticks to the filter. Made my oil change so much easier.

Wow...

You did put a full 4qts of oil in, yes?

And seriously, a lift is not needed for an oil change. That's f'in ridiculous. Not to be a dick, but get your hands dirty... Lol, I've never worked on a car with a lift. Yes, it would be nice. But for a 15 minute job like an oil change? Not really necessary... (boom08)

got the valve stem replaced on the front tire. Anyone keeping count this is flat tire number four in 2010. I think the tires are freaking cursed (had them sitting around from my first car which i ran headfirst into a telephone pole and put them on this car about a year ago)
