The Ohio Random Thread... aka We Should Probably Be Working

wore sandles to work today, no one said anything to me. 3 days left

You're living the Office Space dream my friend. Now just carry a boom box around playing "Damn it feels good to be a gansta".

rockin the reebok classics & 80's polo today...what is up with the ribbed bottom? how did any fashion designer think that was a good idea? was thier thought that they could make a shirt you don't have to tuck in but would look like it? i just don't get it.

Hahaha, nice. Some of the clothing style designs from every era makes me wonder WTF they were smoking... all except the 40's and 50's. Those folks were classy.

I'm a big fan of the mobster suits in the 20's

Also good stuff.

But I will say, whoever came up with plaid is an effing genius.

Golf shirts use to still be like that just a few years ago. The bottom of the shirt was elastic so would appear to be tucked in and not waver in the wind accidentally exposing happy trail. I had a couple of them because I thought they were hilarious but I outgrew them and they turned into half shirts. No longer looked tucked in, just looked like a halter top with poofy shoulders and a collar.

Also good stuff.

I'm gonna go with the Scots on that, every family has their own plaid design

Ucmp3 I think I just passed you heading north on 71, you were going the other way

Ya, that was definitely me. I was heading home from work down 71S @ that time. I am actually pretty sure I saw you too... You were moving pretty slow stuck in traffic, right? My eyes perk up pretty much every time I see a p5 (or any Protege really...), lol. Especially if it's yellow... ;)

Agreed. :D

I finally found a plaid pattern I liked and bought 4 yds of this stuff the other day:

My interior is gonna have a lot of this @ some point this summer. I'm making myself finish some other projects before I start reupholstering, tho. Planning on doing the headliner, door inserts, shift boot, arm rest & maybe pillars. Not sure about the pillars yet, tho.

looks like a good pattern. I would hold off on the pillars and save those for last just to see how everything else looks

My thoughts exactly. ;)

I was actually thinking about doing the pillars in a charcoal micro-suede possibly, but I'll do a little test/mock up after I have the plaid all in... Not sure if the 2 fabrics/patterns will clash or not.

Do you think they make a waterproof plaid?

Probably... Just find a waterproof fabric. The plaid I got is a flannel fabric. How waterproof do you want? They make sprays and stuff that "waterproof" fabrics to an extent...

Yeah I need "Oh crap it's raining unexpectedly while my top was down and it took me a while to get back to the garage" waterproof.

Yeah I've also found neoprene covers but I figured if I made my own I'd save a few hundred.

buy a bunch of wetsuits when they go on sale
