Nice build list! also smart move getting the oil cooler
So what do you all have? Just the parts that are on the way in the mail?

Am I gonna be ok using my JDM and corksport camshafts for this turbo build? Protegegarage says they are not recommended for turbo applications.....?

No as long as you can tune for it, you're fine. They're a good power adder. You'll have to retard the timing, I think...

And if I add the SLS catted midpipe? Thought I've seen people running 200whp with less mods on stock boost

I suppose you might be around 200 whp with a proper tune. At first I thought your setup was pretty much a stock MSP, but you do have exhaust, cams, and the MP3 intake manifold that came without VTCS. So yeah, you're probably in the 200 whp range. Get a good tune and complete that CS downpipe and you'll be there for sure.

He'll have to get something to tune with, unless i missed it, there's no tuning solution posted in the first post.

Tzar, you'll also get a CEL because of not having the VTCS plugged in.

That is correct. I already sent him the ECU pins and instructions on how to do the VTCS CEL fix, so he's got that under control. But a tune is definitely in order.. not sure if the AFC would be able to take care of the cams or not, but it's what I would recommend otherwise.

Yes I already the VTCS fix wired in ready to go. Just waiting for my hand to heal from surgery so I can continue with the build

Looks like I will be installing the stock camshafts back unless I can find a set of adjustable cam gears that Focus made awhile back. I've read that the adjustable gears available for the protege have design flaws, so I think I'm going to stay away from those. My current camshaft combo appears to have 17.5 degrees of overlap and that is just too much for turbo. The stock camshafts have 4 degrees of overlap and will hold the boost better. If I can get my hands on the adjustables, is there some sort of "how to" on how to go about making the proper adjustments?
