so here is a mods list real fast

Fujita SRI
FMIC
PG TIP

so when i installed my TIP my forge went from that famous "ping" to a crazy almost compressor surge. maybe the valve took a s*** at that very instant? the "owl hoo-hoo-hooo noise"... but i have a GEN1 forge.

but i just cut my CAI into a SRI and i am spiking 13lbs and steady at 10lbs which in my book is not right. I have a coupler so i can at anytime reconnect my CAI.

I have disconnected everything and re-connected it to see if i had a leak. did i miss something? could it be worse like my wastegate shat on me? i need imput on both the BPV and the boost loss.

the CAI or SRI has nothing to do with boost loss, at least not this much
the one thing i would check though is your FMIC piping and couplers, and maybe try the stocker BPV

also u proably already did but check ur vaccum hoses to you bov. Do you have a boost gauge? if so check those lines as well. I know that cab=n be super frustrating man. I had a rubber hose connecting to my boost gauge that was slightly cracked that casued mine to go hay wire..

all of my pipes are good to go i checked and tightened them. ive been running my stock bpv for a month now after this has happened. so im not stressin on the BPV. The boost loss happened after the CAI to SRI. i will indeed check my boost line but then again my vacc pressure is at 20~23 area.

Take your Forge apart from the top and see if the spring color is yellow and if you have any shims, if not I would say you can do yellow with 2 shims to help "boost" the spring pressure, or you can just go straight to red with NO shims. see if that helps, also reset your ECU, disconnect the battery for 15 minutes and then after you reconnect, allow the car to idle for 5 minutes without stepping on the gas then turn off the car, then restart and go drive it and see if it takes you back up to 16psi.

If he's still running the same low boost on the stock BPV as he did on the Forge, I don't think taking the Forge apart and making adjustments in it will solve his problem.

Even with good vacuum, he seems to have a leak under boost. He needs to really check his boost tubes and connections. He needs to check his turbo inlet again.

Shortening his CAI to SRI in and of itself is irrelevant, as stated by another poster. But OP must have disturbed some hose, tube, line or connection in doing that.

Either that or there has been a separate independent event that just happened to coincide with the change to SRI. That could be anything including the boost solenoid connection, the wastegate actuator itself, a host of things.

But simple things should be carefully eliminated first. A hose that looks good, could have a crack or split, so could a boost tube or the inlet. Clamps can seem tight but turn out not to be.

i guess there was some confusion. the forge is not relevant to this issue it was just another thing i wanted help on. ive had the stock bpv on for about 2 months now. i tightened all tubes clamps and everything and the pressure was the same.

i then reconnected my CAI and i gained back a few lbs of boost. i dont think i was at 16lbs after my FMIC and correct me if im wrong but after that mod isnt it normal to lose ~2lbs?

i cant even begin to understand why changing a CAI into a SRI would cause issues.

im not a mechanical retard either (not saying anyone said i was) but i understand most things to do with motors and cars but this was just like the other guy said a head scratcher.
