rear wiper delete :)

took literally 10 mins, easiest mod i have done in a while

nice parking job ;)

looking good though.

EDIT: scratch, you should photoshop the front lip paintmatched to the rims and emblem

So you going to do your interior now? lol

Gonna attempt it...if I get everything done I will try on Monday...

hey alex. you might know. i may be imagining things but do the rx-8s weigh than the speed 3's? they feel like they do.

Not sure...they weight 24lbs IIRC...

nice parking job ;)

Paint match would be too much to do it right, and I would definitely not spray paint anything on the front of the car...

Ya i guess so. It may have looked pretty good, but good point, to do it right probably wouldn't be worth it, and spray paint is FTL.. Didn't really think of it.

remember to take everything off of the panel. window switch door handel, lock surround, and the window seal thing.

lay the material down precut with 1/8th larger than the size of the panel.

As its laid down lift one half of it up (long ways) and spray on the panel first, then spray the half let it sit for about 30 seconds. (i usually rub the spray so that the coat is even)
then lay the piece down.

Then work on the other side. once you have both sides down make sure everything is smooth and start working on the edges using a small (thin) flat head screwdriver. Tuck the ends in. I used a twising motion as if i was using a spoon to tuck the pieces in.

Dont forget to glue the other side of the materil down on the top of the panel. (where it folds over)

Then cut the holes that you need, mount the items that you took off and mount the door.

^^^Thanks...

Yea, it would be an expensive mistake to mess up and it not turn out good...cost of painting and then repainting to fix...

I still don't understand wiper-delete mod's, to me, it would be like a "power door lock delete mod," or "power window delete mod"; I wish my BMW had a rear wiper, I think all cars should have them...

To each their own.

Lol...I don't deny for a minute that it is form over function for that mod...

I have my 225-45-16's on the way for the front...should be here Monday...

Totally agree with you, why anyone would want to make a car less safe is beyond me. A pro5 sucks dirt onto the back window big time.

Pat.

ah well the reason i want to delete mine is cause it hasnt actually worked at all in the last 2.5 years that i've owned the car lol. so deleting it makes sense to me cause its either a $1.99 plug or a who knows what cost for a new motor and blade.

+1. Mine broke this winter and I'll probably just delete it too and sell my Mazda6 rear wiper.

i went without my rear wiper for like a year or two. HATED IT! picked up a motor on here used did the mazda 6 wiper. ive been happy ever since. the window gets dirty fast. i really hated it during the winter months. but i do agree...a rear window wiper motor is pretty pricey. think it was around like 130ish last time i checked. might have come down since then. i know reman'd front calipers have big time.

i filled the hole with a rubber "cork" from lowes, its in the hardware section
its 1 3/8" and fits snug enough to keep water out

I told ya so,they are really cheap and i also went badgeless and got little plastic filler caps and had them sanded down and painted the color of my car and had them cleared as well(eekdance)

yea im saving up some money for a complete respray, and im going to weld the holes shut and then smooth it out with body filler
im going to probably paint it a non OEM color just so everybody can hate on that too lol
im contemplating shaving the exhaust cutout too but i may just put my megan racing exhaust back on for EECMM, cuz open midpipe for 3 hours is ANNOYING
