Although for the sig you have to put the pic of Jenn with the Mazda ball next to the one you have now. It looks like you are in a state of shock because she caught it unlike our favorite other photo.

So the warm afternoon combined with the nice shower that rolled through has finally caused my rock chip from VIR weekend to turn into a full fledged crack in the windshield. I think my insurance is going to hate me when I hit them with 2 claims at once?

Although, I may hold off on the claims until the Miata is straightened out.
 
quick question, do any of you have Progressive, and have delt with windshield chips? I have a small chip, maybe 2 I don't remember, but I am pretty sure it's just 1, but anyways will they cover to fix that, or do I have to wait till I get a full fledged crack, and yes i have full glass coverage.
I know I can ask progressive but subspeed6's post just reminded me of it, and I'm in the middle of an essay right now, that I once again procrastinated till the last day to do it lol.. but just curious if anyone has had any experience with it
 
A BB gun is your friend if you have full glass coverage. I would never do such a thing, but I'm just saying.
 
they will do both with full glass coverage, all depends on the size of the chips, if you get to them too late, there not repairable, and ull need a new windsheild. id "make it worse" as chris suggested to get a new windsheild. lol..

lol, ya right now it's a small chip but it goes through the whole windshield (there's not hole but it's not a surface chip or anything like that, although I have some of those too).. I should have just put warm water on the area around it when it was cold out this winter lol.. but I'll have to think of something.. I guess some of you will be able to see it at OCC anyways since I won't be getting it fixed before then, to damn busy with school..

but at least I get to paint my calipers this weekend.. someone said that I could just paint over the old paint right? once I clean it and everything? wasn't sure if that is what he was referring to
 
For the calipers, yeah you can but it might not last too long. It depends on the coat underneath really.

As for the rock chips... I have two in my windshield. Only one has turned into a full on crack and that was from the chip I got a week and a half ago. The other was received at the first OCC meet I went to over a year ago.

The best bet is to try and determine if the chip/crack is all the way through the windshield or just a surface chip. The first being the worst while the second is ok, but just and annoyance.
 
hey ben are your staying out there for long?? ill be heading out there the weekend of the 15th and 16th.. just wondering??..
