7:20 pm I'm driving my automatic/tiptronic 03 p5 equipped with a corksport exhaust. I'm having fun pretending its a standard by driving it in the manual mode until I see a cop.shifted it down to 4th to quiet the exhaust, let go of the gas and slow down for a stop sign. Cop pulls up behind me...I already know what's goin to happen when I step on the gas...cops light flash and pulls me over.I'm sittin there with my friend in the passenger waiting for my ticket. The officer comes out and notices my marines stickers on each side of my back windows and asks me" u a marine?" I told him my story and he asks me if I had anymore marine stickers. I gave him my last one and he let me off with a warning.I wanted to make a simple story long because the marine stickers saved my wallet lol. Maybe we shoould all have military stickers on our cars? Anyways. It was pretty epic. Now I have to buy a silencer...or get the oem exhaust. Thanks for readin!

Yes. Most cops in lowell are or were marines. As a matter of fact I am not a marine...unfortunately they didn't let me go into basic because I was a pound over.supposed to be 185. So yes I guess it is a frm of discrimination but hey, that's just the way s*** works ha and I don't have a problem with it at all cause most cops in lowell are complete pricks.

As a matter of fact I'm actually thinkin about tradin my exhaust for an oem one. Attracts too much attention...but I really do love the sound...

Yeah absolutely. I hate thinkin bout lettin it go but eventually imma give the p5 to my girl and get myself and sti and she hates my exhaust lol

Just a question why have them on your car and give out marine stickers if you aren't a marine? Are you still trying to become a marine?

As a matter of fact yes.I'm still gonna go but this time I'm gonna do it differently.there's 3 reasons I still hve them stickers. 1-I have 2 buddies in the marines and they each gave me one to represent them. 2- my recruiter gave me a shitload for some reason. 3- I'm still tryin to get in. And 1sicp5owner.sorry bro I have someone who's gonna do it locally.

Hmmm, the Marines didn't let you into basic training because you were a pound over? I enlisted into the Marines when I was still in high school in the Delayed Entry Program and my recruiter would've let that one pound slide for sure. Hell, I like I was 10 pounds under and I was still accepted. So maybe I should rock a Marines sticker with my Corksport exhaust and just give him my story too, eh? Heh-heh

But I got out before going into basic for personal reasons.

Haha yeah man why not? I would suggest buying a silencer along with it.yeah they measured my body fat and said I had too much for my height haha. I'm 5'5". If I was 5'6" I would've been alright.

Hey they wouldn't let me in to OCS because of my knee. I feel ya man.

So in Mass, any cop who "thinks" you have anything other than an OEM exhaust can pull you over and write you a ticket?

U are correct sleezer. But harleys get away with murder.
No sense bringin that up with a cop. You'll just get some smartass s*** like "If you had 2 wheels you could be louder too" or "That's the law for bikes not cars" and a real ticket to go with it.

Oh yeah, I hear ya. Senseless rules all over the place. Cars/trucks gotta have working air bag and seat belts but bikes don't have either and half of the country doesn't even require a helment. You want my car to be quiet but bikes can make all the noise possible. Stupid.

I'm gonna ride around with my mountain bike. With a radio blasting senseless construction noises. With some hella horns honking every 2 minutes.
