Progress, H&R, or other?

I'm having trouble deciding between Progress or H&R springs for my MSP.

The H&R springs are running about $217 shipped and the specs read -1.3" drop f/r

The Progress springs are $165 shipped and the specs read -1.5" f/r

I'm not sure what the spring rates are. They will be used with new Tokico HP struts.

Please weigh in with your experiences with either springs and your advice. I'm looking for a comfortable ride with an improvement in performance. I'm not autocrossing or racing. The stock setup is worn out after 120k+ miles, so I'm hoping to replace the OEM stuff with something just a little sportier but with minimal compromise in ride quality. I'd appreciate your input! If you vote "other" in the poll, please state in a post what you'd suggest. Thanks.

out of those i'd go with the H&R's. might want to consider the eibach pro kit as well

The Eibach springs don't lower evenly. Their specs read -1.4" front, -1.8" rear.
I thought that might ride a bit stiff in the rear. (That's what she said.)

Is that 1.8 spec'd on MSP struts or no?

are the H&Rs progressive or linear rear springs? you probably want to consider that first. I'm pretty sure the progress are progressive which can be.... "squirrley" in spirited driving. personally I like it but oversteer is fun for me...

The drops in height are factored for an MP3.

The H&R springs are progressive.

I'll probably make a decision on Thursday afternoon.

I agree with those above... espelir are a great choice.

I currently run Road Magnet springs, and they give a perfectly even drop and ride great. Just another option for ya.

they're pretty much agreed upon as the best spring available for the MSP. drop looks good, ride is good, and they handle great. at 266 JUMP ON IT.

+1

Ride quality is excellent when cruising, due to the progressive front, linear rear combo, and when you start to push it they really stiffen up and are very responsive. Also I love the raked looked, as does everyone who sees my car.

You wouldn't happen to have pics of your car standing still, would you?

Here is what is confusing me.

This thread has an MSP with Espelir springs. Pic 2 shows a perfect stance (what I'd like to shoot for):

But then this MSP also has Espelir springs, and if you look at pics 4, 5, & 6, there is some MONSTER wheel gap in the rear:

I'm confused. Which stance would be closer to what I'll get with new Tokico HP's + Espelirs?

Michelle's springs were not Espelirs...She says they were either Spool or sprint but she is unsure.
See this post....

I think they are spool or sprint springs with the tokicos
