Got the spin on oil filter kit today and purchased a filter for the B2300 pick up. Super Tech 3600. I chose this one because it is bigger than the 2.0 filter. I have read that people are using many different filters. Which one are you using?

i'd love to get a spin-on conversion. and my thoughts on the bigger filter...you just need more oil and that's all. i don't think the filter would catch any more or less stuff in relation to size.

I got my Volk Formula lugs in the mail today. The blues were on back order so I went with black. I'm glad I did because for some reason I think blue would've look out of place. Excuse the greasy tires, lol.

as for this...they look out of place regardless...to me anyways. blue or not. but that's just one drunkard's opinion

I think it's the red that makes it look out of place. Still looks good though. Anyways, wash her and wax. Had to make a custom gasket that go between bov and cold pipe since I think I must have lost the one that came with bov.

Nothing with the MS3, fiddling around with the CX7 HID kit I bought and having absolutely no success with these damn things.

ugh, feel your pain. im having trouble with my kit for my fogs. guess i should just got them from a reputable company instead of one of the vendors i found at the last phili auto show. i don't know if it's the igniters or the bulbs, and i can't just replace one or the other and hope they work. oh well

oil change today, will also check (and maybe clean) spark plugs and see if the tires need rotating. just a loverly day of maintenence on my boring barely above factory hp ms3

Nice work Bill! Does it sit more even as well?

This did not change the way the DH sits, as I did not modify the bottom edge of the opening. I also did not touch the upper opening at all. I didn't want to increase the distance between the top edge of the upper opening & bottom edge of the bottom opening, for fear it would become loose/unstable.

After inserting & removing the DH a few times, I think I might need to go shave just another hair off the top edge of that bottom opening. It still seems to catch just a tad on removal.

The angle seems ok, as far as being level with the ground, but I wish it wasn't tilted back quite so far. If the sun is directly overhead, the DH screen tends to wash out a bit due to being tilted back like it is. Can't change that, though.

I'll try to remember to snap a pic next time I pop the DH into the mount.

**I once fabbed a dash-mounted gauge pod for my '90 Supra Turbo from fiberglass. It was my first attempt at such a project, and took 2-3 tries to get a decent result, but it wasn't half bad after sanding & painting. I never did anything else along those lines, but I am now becoming tempted...

detailed the car. took forever, but god it looks good. now if i had my new wheels id be all set

Just finished with the Spin on oil filter conversion. I also cut a hole in the undertray so I won't have to remove it again when I change the oil. I used the larger B2300 truck filter rather than the 2.0 filter, which is rather small.

I also removed the rear resonator and replaced it with a straight pipe. I love the sound when racing up through the gears but on the interstate it is annoying. I ordered a Magnaflow resonator, reccommended by others on the boards, to put back on. They say it will be quieter than stock and also removes the drone. The Magnaflow is much larger than the stocker I had removed but I have seen a pic of it installed and it does fit. It should be here by mid week and will go on the car asap, going out of town the 15th so I want it on by then for sure.

thinking about getting some slut rotors and upgraded pads and brake lines...really want brembo or stoptech but the wifes giving me the evil eye...i've been promising her wheels and tires for the tundra...

Took the bumper off today to replace the stock HIDs with 6000k bulbs from DDM. Taking the bumper off was easy, the only annoying parts was taking the wiring harness clips for the fogs and ambient temp sensor off of the bumper but after that it was a piece of cake. Definitely helps to have an electric drill to remove the 11 screws on the bottom of the bumper.

Haven't been able to see them yet obviously, but can tell they are slightly more blue when looking at the lenses.

I took the CX7 bumper off for the 2nd time and did some experimenting. Seems the light on the driver's side does not want to be as accurate as the passenger side. I even threw the original Halogen back in and it was doing the same thing.

So I gave up and left it alone. As long as she's happy is all that matters. Those Halogens sucked at night!

all that and no tune?

honestly, thats not that bad. I mean, I have a CAI, TIP, RP, and CBE with no tune. The DP is a different story because that has an effect on the waste gate actuator, but he's not running a very dangerous setup.

blew what i hope is the turbo, lost half a qt of oil in 150 miles. stocking out for a dealer visit. praying the rings arent shot. caused by the guys at strauss overfilling my oil...

and before everyone says to change your own oil. i dont have a spot to do it first. and strauss keeps an electronic copy of all oil change receipts that can be requested at any time.

oil level was up to the "x" in MAX.

That really sucks. :( I hope you get everything fixed soon.

mine was like that for awhile, no noted ill effects. comes from the reading from the initial pull. instead of a wipe-reinsert-pull
